And I must say a very veyr goo movie....I can say that Iloved Abhay very much in that movie.
For me in the romance quotient this movie is way higher than JWM and LAK.....😳 Very sweet dialogues, sweet acting and sweet love...

Yeah..its such a mushy movie...aww.
Ayesha Takia was sooo aweet inthis and Abhay is fantastic. You coul feel the confusion in Abhay's mind in this movie..great movie. I wonder why it did not do well at BO

Because there wasn't much marketing, and it starred two new and unknown actors. I only watched the film because a friend of mine kept telling me how great it was and I should definitely see it.

Personally, I cannot make up my mind about which Imtiaz movie I like the best. I think Jab We Met was his most playing to the gallery, crowd-pleasing sort of a film, in a good way. Socha Na Tha and Love Aaj Kal are a lot more similar to each other in my opinion. Especially in the characterization of the leads. The one big difference is that there is an air of melancholy in LAK that isn't quite as obvious in SNT.

Coz SNT and JWM were more relatable to the audiences coz of the family aspect tossed in. SNT especially was very family dominated. The main characters were not JUST Abhay adn Ayesha, but the family members as well.
Same with JWM, where Geet's family as well as Aditya's family played an important role.
In LAK, the family was nonexistant.

The family theory is interesting. Comparing JWM to LAK reminded me of a Dibakar Banerjee interview I heard about OLLO. I am afraid to post it here because of the colourful language but he said that some films have a satisfying moment every few minutes, so people know when to cry and when to laugh (I am majorly paraphrasing here). I think JWM was that kind of film with easily identifiable "moments". He called movies like that regressive and he thought Khosla ka Ghosla was like that as opposed to OLLO. (Regressive wasn't necessarily a bad thing in his opinion)

So I think LAK is to JWM what OLLO was to KKG.

True. I do feel that LAK had the more mature and sophisticated story, but lacked the "entertainment" treatment given to JWM, which had a much simpler story

What about Imtiaz's 4th story? Ahista Ahista. I personally thought it was quite underrated though, Imtiaz's directed version Witness for Star Bestsellers was better.
