I never thought for a minute that Bandini would be the kind of serial which would graduate into a drama which would send signals to its viewers regarding relationships. But it has done presicely that. In this world of ours where all reationships across the board have fallen through Alice's hole which entered her into a dimension where everything seemed almost unreal so is our world today---whether it be the relationships of young and old -parent and child- man and woman within or without wedlock- master and servant among peers-friends-aquintances- family near or extended and so on.Live in relationships, gay unions divorce,reunions.and so on and so forth.
In all this confusion an older man called Dharamraj and a young inexperienced woman called Santu find common platforms to make their relationship work while carefully tiptoeing past each other where there doesn't seem to be any common ground.
It shows that the curve of normalcy is ever expanding and admits every sort of combination.Thus giving all of us a chanse to work out our relationships at any stage in life because Santu and Dm have shown that relationships are and cannot be confined and fitted into straight jackets. There is hope for all of us. So don't give up it takes much more than you can possibly imagine to frame a relationship and call it abnormal. A relationship is not a preconceived recipie that it has to follow the given method nor does it nececssarily presuppose that it can only work if certain ingredients are present. Like for instance sex and passion. Its all in the mindset.
I think Bandini teaches us the lesson of how people thrown together can gracefully choose their own way of balancing a relationship provided their mind isclear of diehard notions.
