Varun Badola turns singer

The actor will be seen and heard singing in Tigmanshu Dhulia's show titled — Ek Chavi Hain Pados Mein on Star Plus. "I love singing, and I'm sure people don't know that I do a pretty decent job of it.

So when I was asked to sing for the show I grabbed the opportunity. The song is called Sakhi Re and there are a few Avadhi lines in the beginning. The music has been given by Akash Vihan and I will be recording it tomorrow morning."

Has the actor managed to get time off for any kind of riyaaz?

"I have actually recorded the song on my cell phone, and I keep hearing it and making modifications when I get time off between shots.
It has two stanzas and good melody."

Marathon misery

On the personal front, Varun had to skip the recent Mumbai marathon to be with his wife Rajeshwari who was suffering from a knee injury.

"I wanted to run and even made plans. But I had to cancel it as Rajeshwari was undergoing some pain in her legs. I had to be with her and take her to the doctor."

Rajeshwari revealed, "It happened when I was performing at the Pravasi Divas show. I inflicted an injury to my knee but didn't tend to it and it got worse. I shouldn't have ignored it, as I had to pay a price for it later. Also I had to stand up for 14-15 hours, and it aggravated my pain. Varun was there with me to make sure everything went alright.
