I think he will. He might just make up a story about how the alarm went off and he lied to Akshara saying the alarm was wrong and made her go back to sleep because he knew how exhausted she was from the wedding

either that or he'll start talking about how it's okay for the betis in the house to sleep late but people freak out over bahus sleeping late and how Akshara is not a bahu but a beti or maybe her saass will do that as well

but I hope Naitik stands up for her.

Yes he will stands up for her. But it would be more appropriate if Gayatri also stands up for her and put the guests in their place. Gayatri also has daughters and hence, wouldnot want something like that to happen to Nandini or Rashmi....
