"KHOONI SHATRANJ"
Brief Intro : He talks about a guy who came home from work and his wife has prepared something special for him. When they start to slow dance, suddenly a bullet fires on his head and is spot dead
Camera shifts to Sujit comes home and freshens up ( who is back from work). His wife is talking to someone and tells them not to call her while her husband is at the house. He comes to have the dinner and his wife prepared something special (his favorite kheer). He is very happy and begins to eat. His wife receives a call once again but she rejects it. He gets suprised but wife makes an excuse and they begin to dance. All of a sudden, he starts to fall down and his wife yells. CID reaches the place. Daya, and Abhi look around to find out where the bullet has been fired. They see a construction site which is bit far away from the apartment.
On the way to the construction site, Freddie finds a dead body lying on the floor and one of his shoes. Tasha finds broken glass of the car and collects it. Daya searches for identification and this person turns out to be Siddarth. Abhi finds engine oil. Siddarth fell from the building and landed on the car and thats why we see broken glasses. Abhi and Daya search the construction site, Abhi finds another shoe while Daya finds a bullet. They confirm that the person shot sujit from here. Abhi finds a broken watch. But their must have been a fight between the murderer and the siddarth and that's why he fell from the building and the bullet mistakenly has shot sujit. Abhi tells Tasha to bring sujith's wife(ragini) so that she can identify siddarth but she doesnt. Meanwhile, kiran (siddarth's sister) comes and is shocked to see the brother's dead body. She tells CID not to leave the person who killed her brother.
CID reaches for the car whose front and back glasses are broken. FInally, Abhi, Daya & Freddie find the garage where the car is. Daya tells Freddie to note the number of the car and find out the owner from RTO. CID reaches the house and some woman comes in hurry and asks how they can come inside like that. ACP says Mayaji. She gets tensed and lies to CID that she is a servant in the house. Then one of the neighbors call out her name and tells something. But ACP ( in a sarcastic tone) says oh! You are maya!. When the neighbor asks why they came here, they tell her the reason and that's when she faints. Freddie takes her out. Maya tells that she went there but he said that he has some important work and told her to stay in the car. But when she was siddarth fell from the 3rd floor, she got scared and ran away. Siddarth is Maya's finacee. Abhi and Daya inform ACP that maya was lying. Siddarth had many enemies and she also knows this as well. Daya says that last time, he also had a fight with Amar who was constructing a building. Freddie tells ACP that maya was Amar's secretary.
Amar in CID bureau. CID inquires him but he says that he wasnt here. He was at delhi. He tells varsha (his wife) to come out since CID is here. When CID asks him more about maya, he gets really scared and says that she is just his secretary, but he didnt kill siddarth. He shows them his boarding pass.Varsha gives Amar's gun to ACP. Salunke and Tarika set up a channel so that they can fire the bullet. Salunke fires it and tells tarika to match it with the other bullet. Tarika informs ACP that the bullet is matching. But Amar says that he wasnt here on that night. CID questions him saying that maybe he must have given his gun to someone so that he can kill siddarth. But Amar says that why would he give his own gun to kill someone. Then he says that only him and his wife can use the gun.
CID immediately leaves for Amar's house but his wife, varsha is nowhere to be found. Daya reaches for Varsha but couldnt find her. The servant tells that she got a call around 10pm and she left. Daya tells him to give her cell number. But her phone is switched off. ACP tells Daya to find out where Varsha's cell phone is from the phone company. All CID officers expect ACP reach the same construction site where they find out that the this site belongs to Amar. But maya manages it. When they ask more about varsha, one of employee says that she used to come along with some guy. He also tells Abhi that they often used to be at the third floor. All officers go inside the building and begin to reach for varsha. Abhi sees something from the 3rd floor and is shocked. He tells everyone to come downstairs as he can see varsha. All of them run toward the cement making machine where her dead body is. Tasha says that someone must have hit her really hard near the head region. Freddie finds some blood stains on the machine and tells Abhi and Daya that he will collect them.
CID once again goes to Amar's house and searches for clues.Tasha finds a torned dress (which is hidden in a cupboard) and shows it to ACP. That's when the servant says that varsha wore this dress on the day siddarth died. He tells ACP that varsha left the house at 8pm and came back around 11pm. ACP tells Daya that she must have killed siddarth and came back at 11pm. Back to bureau, where Vivek is trying to match the fingerprints with the those on the kurta. It turns out to be siddarth's fingerprints. Abhi receives a call. Later on, He tells ACP that person who called varsha last, was someone from Amar's office. Daya says that the murderer will be found in his office only.
CID reaches Amar's office and talk to watchman/ secretary/security guard (whatever you wanna callš). He shows the CCTV camera where it shows who came in and stuff. Daya says since everyone is at the office, the murderer might have called varsha some place else to meet near the building. ACP tells that the person must be working in this office only. They are suprise to see maya over there.
CID reaches maya's house where she makes an attempt to suicide by burning herself. But Daya stops her. She confesses that she killed varsha because varsha killed siddarth. Varsha was the one who came to her and told her that she killed siddarth because he was playing with two women. He was flirting with varsha and is engaged to maya. But Maya was angry and upset with varsha and killed her later.
