Balika Vadhu, Colors Plot: The show deals with the sensitive issue of child marriage and supports widow re-marriage. The backdrop is rural Rajasthan, where child marriage is still widely practised. In the show, the victims of this ritual are Anandi (Avika Gor) and Jagdish (Avinash Mukherjee) who get married at a very young age. Jagdish is the only grandson of Kalyani Devi (Surekha Sikri), who follows all the rituals and superstitions strictly. |
