In today's epi, when everyone in MU was wrongly accusing Bharti of ditching her morals and sleeping with Kaul to get the contract signed, I truly felt bad for her. It reflects upon the stringent mentality of the society that if a woman is successful, then she must have done something wrong to achieve it. People feel it is so easy to poke a hole in the character of a woman and get away with it. The woman keeps lamenting later, she is one who faces the shit.

No one even bothered to even turn around and question Gyan that 'Hey ! How do you know that ?' - They just believed him because it was the hottest, juciest news and ofcourse, completely believable because afterall, Bharti is only a woman. I salute the writers and creatives of this show who have made such an honest effort to show the prejudiced and low-level mentality of people when it comes to working women.
I truly felt bad for Bharti, poor girl 😔 She has to face so many hurdles all alone :(

i totally agree with u on that, if it had been Bhaskar and he slept with a woman to get a contract, he would be congratulated....I am a man and in partnership in a business but i treat my employees with respect, they don need to prove their capabilities to me or Akky...... sometimes my secetary gets left to run things on her own, i know i can take some time off and everythin will be in gd hands. It is bout time in this day and age women should be counted for, women should not be made to look like fools. As usual it all goes down to the Boss's. if u have one sexist boss, then the whole work place is sexist.

@BlessedSexyone - Thanks for replying. I'm glad that you consider women to be equal to men :) Specially because it's coming from a man himself.
@ shreenithiks - Exactly. Sometimes, Women can be eachother's deadliest enemies. They do not realize that they're undermining a woman's self-respect in the process.

well i have been lucky enough to see what women can do, none other than my wife, she runs 2 of her own businesses single handedly, ok she has employers but she does most the paperwork and accounts, she has guts and determination to succeed, she didnt even want me part her business, felt as if it takin her independance away, she had before she married me and has continued to work. She works jus as much hours as me and runs a home with a kid, so in my eyes women are more superior to men

Good post :D and I agree with you.
I also felt for Bharti. It was sad to see her being questioned like that, everyone laughing and pointing fingers at her character. Bharti's hurt and pain were evident in her eyes. Hats off to Ragini for doing those scenes so well.
It's very true, nobody in the office questioned Gyan or asked him how he was so certain that Bharti had slept with the man. They just made a disguisting assumption, only because Bharti is a woman. Bhaskar did everything under the sun and got away with it. It's shameful how men can get away with such behaviour, simply because of their gender.
Although this show is light-hearted, it has also highlighted an issue which majority of women face. The world has progressed but sadly gender discrimination still exists and women are still facing hardship. I really like the way the writers have highlighted this issue without preaching or making it too obvious. Behind the humour, there is a strong message.

Awesome post, Neetz, and I completely agree.

Bhaskar finally realized what it really is like to be a woman where society is all for believing the worst about you. You get praised for the same things if you were a man. It is also interesting how Bhaskar wouldn't have minded sleeping with a girl for a contract, but when he became Bharti, suddenly, his izzat became so important?
