Love is greater than Friendship??

Gunjan tells Benji that Pyaar humeshaa Dosti se bada hota hai.. but I beg to differ Rahul (from KKHH) ke words mein kahu toh... "Agar woh meri sabse achhi dost nahi banti toh main usse kabhi pyaar kar hi nahi sakta... Pyaar Dosti hai" (I got a Nupur attack for a moment there)..

According to me, friends will always be there for each other. I have always been against people choosing their boyfriend of 2 months over friendship of 12 years. Your friends sometimes know you better than you know yourselves. Plus, in love you make certain adjustments for the other person whereas in friendship you accept each other as you are with flaws and there are no expectations of change whatsoever. And especially if there is any kind of love that makes you break friendships its obviously not true love.

Anyway, I just want to know views on this... Is love greater than friendship?
