i have. i worked in a school for autistic children for college. i found it very interesting and i had so much fun in the 6 months i worked there. i worked wiv children who had different types of autism and wer also different ages from 6-19 and also built up a bond with a child who had asperges which is a mild form of autism and the child was very clever at everything at he had a very good memory of what went around him. you also learn about the different behaviors they show and what they may do if they are angry e.g one child used to beat and the other used to tip tables and throw chairs. there wer some moments we i was almost stressed from it but i wud never regret working them as i had soo much fun. whilst working i learnt that u need a lot of patience. i also learnt that a few of them had to wear nappies to help them control themselves and also that autism affects boys more than girls as 1 in 1000 girls suffer from autism yet 1 in 10 boys are affected by it.
all i have to say is that anyone who wants to work with autistic children shud ave a lot of patience and also just enjoy themselves when they are working with them so that you can witness every cute moment they may have.
