Devaki's truth?

main aapko shapath deta hoon devkiji ki agar apne mujhe satya nahi bataya toh aap mera mrit mukh dekhengi (I swear that if you don't tell the truth you will see me dead).

This is what Shashtri jee told Devaki and in return she told the truth why Radhika was thrown out of PB but she ended her tale with:

Vishakha us ghar kee chhoti bahu hai jee, ham nahin chahte the ki uske upar koi lanchhan lage isliye Radhika ko lekar chupchap yahan wapas aa gaye ( Vishakha is CB of that house, we did not want her to be blamed so we came back here along with Radhika without saying anything).

Isn't she afraid that she inserted the not true part here and by doing that she is still not honouring her husband's words and pledge?

Of course, but in the narrow time frame of what happened that caused Radhika to be evicted, I guess she is conforming to Shastriji's shapath.

Lies eventually will be exposed---how and when is the question.

IBICE, that was odd as you pointed out that she would lie. She did not need to say taht Vishaka was choti bahu at that moment. It could have been avoided. Maybe it indicates that while she can reveal this truth that the other lie is so ingrained in her that she cannot even imagine revealing that. This may be the only truth we get from Devki ever :)

Yes JP, that's what I meant. Why did she add that, she could have stopped just before this statement of hers. I also think expecting any more from her is too much.

Yes, even when S said, aap mera mara huya chera dekhengi.......meaning, you will see my dead body, she still lied......she did not tell the entire truth...and hid the truth of R being CB....and lied that V is CB.,.....

She cld have said, Vishaka ki parivaar waalon ke saamne, izzat bachene ke liye, Radhika ne izlaam apne sar le liye........

Atleast that way, she cld have avoided lying.......even if she hid the greater truth.........she shd not have lied........
