The duo started working and got together for 'Yara Dildara' with the song 'Bin Tere Sanam'. The song released more than a decade back and was a reckoning hit. After that the two of them never looked back and went on to deliver hit film music with 'Khiladi', 'Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar', 'Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge', 'Khamoshi-The Musical', 'Yes Boss', 'Pyaar Kiya To Darna Kya', 'Jab Pyaar Kisi Se Hota Hai', 'Kuch Kuch Hota Hai', 'Dil Kya Kare', 'Khoobsurat', 'Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani', 'Mohabbatein', 'Sarfarosh', 'Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham', and 'Chalte Chalte'. Lalit Pandit has confirmed the news about their split. He adds, "There are some issues and I do not want to discuss them in the media. There is no point because our decision won't change." Their last film together as film music composers will be Kunal Kohli's 'Fanaah' starring Aamir Khan and Kajol. On the single front Lalit has already been signed for Raja Mukherji's Bengali film. He has decided to give music for a Bengali film because he believes that he has a strong fan following there. He also adds that it'll be difficult for him to compose the tracks alone without the aid of his brother Jatin who has taught him a lot. He is feeling sentimental and so are we! |
