Had a rocking weekend. The first 3 days were truly fantastic. Monday onwards, the film did show a drop, but has been steady on the lower side. Has been appreciated tremendously by the youth

LOL..have i commented earlier?..erm anyways.im sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo happy for this movie..god bless it forever!..its been ages since ive seen such a great and outstanding movie..for me its definitely the biggest hits of 2009 and decade...words are less for this movie..everything in it and about it was perfection...

New York recorded excellent first week collections of around 27 crore nett. The film did very well at multiplexes all over the country. The single screens also managed fair collections in some parts but due to the juggernaut opening of Kambakkht Ishq collections fell a lot on its 8th day.

Half Year Box Office Report

Its been a very bad first half to the year with New York coming in the last week of June making it look somewhat better. The strike meant that around 60 days went by without any worthwhile film being released in that period. The successes of the year so far are as follows.

1. NEW YORK - Emerged the biggest success of the first half but collections fell badly as biggie Kambhakkt Ishq opened to a huge response a week after the release of New York. It remains to be seen if it can settle down or collections will keep on falling. Expected All India Distributor Share 20 CRORE APPROX. Verdict HIT/SEMI HIT
