A MayUr Scene! Written by me :)

Hi MJHTians!

I'm Mahi, as some of you might know, many might not. I am a regular visitor of this forum but my presence is usually very silent. Anyway, I just watched tonight's episode and I'm overwhelmed. I do cry easily but this is the first time a TV couple has brought tears to my eyes. Actually to tell you the truth, the second time. Last night SaJan's Dancing Jodi sequence made filled my eyes with tears. The only difference is that for SaJan those were painful tears and for MayUr those were tears of happiness. MayUr expressions were priceless! Some of the dialogues were brilliant. Nupur's dialogue about ghoda and phool ek sadu ke liya hazaar qurbaan! Wow! And the Hug!

Anyway, I write short stories and one of my obsessions in life (including SaJan and MayUr) is writing! So, after watching the confession episode, I wrote this scene. Though of sharing with you all. It's supposed to be a scene soon after the confession. I was going to write A Touching MayUr Scene but thought of letting you all give your verdict on that. :)

I decided not to test my Hindi/Urdu skills. Didn't want to give you all another reason not to read this scene. 😳 😆 Sorry, it's kind of long.

MayUr Confession After Confession

Nupur has always been a dreamy girl, but she never thought she could just sit still for hours and watch the beautiful moon spread its light during the darkest hours of night. So innocent and so pure. Love really does change everything, Mayank was right. Nupur thinks to herself. Who could have thought me, Nupur Bhushan, could fall in love with Mayank? We used to fight every moment of the day. Then how did we fall in love? I guess that's why we fall in love because you never fall intentionally and you can never help falling either.

While Nupur is busy in her thoughts, Mayank enters the scene from the back and sees Nupur lovingly observing the moon. He smiles to himself and thinks that she must be thinking of her Raj, who she has confessed is him.

"Mayank, you're not banned from sitting next to me," Nupur says without turning back to look at Mayank. Mayank is shockingly snapped out of his thoughts.

While walking towards Nupur and sitting down next to her, he says, "Nupur, how did you know it was me? You weren't looking in my direction."

"We need our eyes to see most of the people in the world. But there are a few who can be seen from the heart," Nupur says smiling at him.

"Oh, so now Nupur's heart sees Mayank?" Mayank says in his teasing tone with a lovely smile on his face.

"Nupur's heart has always seen Mayank," Nupur replies without meeting Mayank's eyes.

"Then why didn't you say it before?" Mayank asked getting a bit serious.

"Why didn't you tell me you loved me?" Nupur questions back.

"I gave you so many hints though," Mayank says.

"You did or Varun did? You gave me the flowers or Varun did? You confessed your love during the rehearsal or Varun did?"

"All those lines weren't in the script of the play, Nupur, and you know that," Mayank says in his proud tone.

"Oh really? And how was I supposed to know that the intelligent Mayank was not improvising but actually confessing his love to me?" Nupur says getting a little upset.

"Look, Nupur, I have at least given you hints, you never ever did that."

"Really? Didn't I tell you you are very nice? And your heart is very nice just like Raj's. Didn't that mean anything?" Unknowingly both of them had raised their voice like they were fighting.

"Nupur, why do you always..." Mayank points his finger at Nupur but before he could finish his sentence, Nupur breaks him off.

"Mayank, enough!" Nupur's also pointing her finger at Mayank. Both of them are quiet for two seconds, just angrily gazing into each other's eyes.

Nothing in particular happens but both of them burst into laughter. They laugh like they've heard world's funniest joke. After continuing his laugh for a few seconds, Mayank stops laughing and seriously looks at Nupur while she's still laughing.

Nupur looks at Mayank and stops laughing too.

"When you go on and on about something, I feel like I can spend my entire life listening to you," Mayank finally says.

"And I thought that's what you hated about me. That's why I would never be worthy of you."

"That's the Nupur I fell in love with," Mayank says with the deep expressions in his eyes. In a moment, Mayank grabs Nupur's hand and hugs her tightly as if he would never let her go.

"When we fought before the play, for a moment, I thought I would really loose you, Nupur. It felt as if life itself was slipping out of me," Mayank whispers in Nupur's ear. Something sparkles in his eyes which he realizes is tears. Nupur smiles and hugs him back. Both of them closer their eyes and feel the moment as if they want to preserve this moment for life.

After a few moments when Mayank let go of Nupur, she sits back and smiles at him in her very bubbly Nupur way. "So what if you had lost me, Mayank? I'm sure the cool dude Mayank would've found someone else like SheeeeeeNA!"

Mayank smiles to himself thinking she still hasn't forgotten the SheeeeNA hug. "Perhaps. But that someone wouldn't have been you. And that makes a life's difference to me." Mayank says looking into her eyes. Nupur smiles back. Suddenly Nupur holds out her hand and brushes something off of Mayank's face.

"Mayank, hold out your hand."

"What?" Mayank's confused.

"Just do it, Mayank, hold out your hand," Nupur demands and Mayank gives in. Then Nupur places an eyelash on his hand and asks him to make a wish.

"You're kidding, right? Come on Nupur, how can you believe in these things?" Mayank asks impatiently.

"I just believe in some things," Nupur replies and without saying anything else, Mayank closes his eyes, makes a wish and blows away the eyelash.

"What did you ask for?" Nupur questions.

Mayank turns around to face Nupur and taking her hand in his says, "I asked for another beautiful evening about forty years later when I will still be holding your hand and making another wish."

Nupur is touched by Mayank's wish but being her bubbly self she asks teasingly, "Forty years? That's a long time, Mayank. Will you be able to stand me for forty years?"

"I can stand you for forty lives," Mayank says still holding her hand. Nupur smiles and tilts her head on Mayank's shoulder. Mayank tilts his head so it's right next to Nupur's. Still holding her hands, he gently kisses on her forehead and both keep admiring the purity of the moon hoping that it will be one beautiful witness of their love.
