I don't know what kind of poojas the scriptwriters attend , and what they see , but whatever they show is really utter rubbish .
I saw the pooja that the Father in law is doing secretly at night yesterday , and really it made no sense . If it is a black magic ritual , the shlokas in the background r holy , auspicious ones............like mangalam bhagwan Vishnu etc . The holy pranav syllable , Om , is repeated many times .but the pooja itself is anything but holy . The Father in law is scooping fistfuls of Haldi { turmeric ] and Kum kum { red tilak powder ] and throwing it .
Firstly , no one sits for poojas or even black magic rituals with plates full of mounds of Haldi and Kumkum like this . Hladi and Kumkum r generally in a special small box as it is applied to the god worshipped only once during the starting of the pooja..................that is the pupose of these two items . So taking a mound of Haldi and Kumkum and sitting like this makes no sense , especially outside where the wind blows , the powders will fly in the pooja doer's eyes .
Secondly , fistfuls of Hali and Kumkum r not thrown like this in any fire , even by black magic practicioners . I repeat , they r not ingredients for offerings , they r ingredients for veneration ........for showing respect to the deity by applying it on its forehead . Grains like rice , urad dal , oil , ghee r put in fire , yes ,never haldi and kumkum in fistful amounts . Tantriks use gulal and Haldi more than kumkum , yes , but for smearing it on forehead alone . Remember , even Tantriks r appeasing their God , so they will not throw fistful of powders so rudely in a fire .
They had shown Gujrathis celebrating Karva Chauth instead of Vat Savitri . There is utterly no knowledge of Indian Culture in this serial . Not only r women insulted , even our culture is insulted by these half baked knowledgewallahs . Indian culture is beautiful and ancient and unparalled . This distortion must stop . Jhanvi wears antiquated designer sarees , with heavy metallic borders ...........no woman can tolerate such heavy sarees on her body in a kitchen for a full day . This is not how Indian women dress up , this a a fancy dress party . It saddens to see our culture being portrayed like this .
