It's time for our fourth discussion topic for the week! 😉
Since this the week was all about jyoti's wedding & in-laws...i'm sure you might have guessed what this topic will about 😃
So, getting on with the questions! 😆 The questions are just there to start a discussion.. Feel free to add other comments if there's anything else on your mind! 😃
1) What did you think of the wedding?
Given that they both wanted a simple wedding, it was very amusing how it turned out - the whole enchilada, from the haldi, the mehendi, the ceremony, the dance entertainment, the bidai, the griha-pravesh, which was almost as elaborate as a royal one. They'd probably hate to go through a complicated wedding 😉😉😉
2) Was there something you would have wanted to see but they didn't show it?
I wanted to see Uday get introduced and getting to know Sudha a little. Was disappointed in it being left out. As one can tell, Devika/Sudha and Uday are who I care about, and so I'm more interested in them than in the main protagonists. That will be reflected in most of my answers below, as I hijack the topic from Jyoti's wedding to Sudha/Uday below. 😆😆😆
3) Do you think she will be happy at her in-laws?
Yes. Although she might have some complications w/ choti-ma, who seems to really admire Sudha, but seems suspicious of Jyoti. Goodness knows why.
4) What was your first impression of her In-Laws?
Pretty good - particularly her parents in law. For Uday's mom, my first impression of her was on the night of Devika's date, so there too, I thought she was okay. Other relatives were good - Pankit the camera guy, their girl-friends, the sister, and other relatives.
However, the gossipy ladies - if related to Pankaj, as opposed to just friends - really looked uncouth. I also can't put a finger on it, but I don't like Panchi and her dad, and I hope Deepu parts ways w/ her, letting her know of course, and finding someone else.
5) How do you feel about the show now that jyoti is married?
Mixed. I actually wanted Jyoti to see off Sudha safely before she left, but obviously that didn't happen. The show doesn't seem as wholesome as before - not because Jyoti is married, but because previously adorable people like Brij and Sushma are now such reptiles, and there is always something ugly going on in the house. I'm watching it for the Devika angle, but I'm rooting for Devika-Uday to materialize soon before the Pankaj-Jyoti complications start. Watching Sudha having to suck up to Padma and even Dadi is painful. She belongs next to Jyoti, and should marry into the same family, so that she and Jyoti can meet as frequently as choti-ma and Pankaj.
6) What does the future hold for Pankaj & Jyoti?
Let's not go there - actually, that's one reason I've been hesitant about watching the show. I wonder what Sphere Origins was smoking when they allowed NDTV Imagine to leak what's going to happen later. Of course, we hope they change it, but that remains to be seen. I do hope something - that Sudha marries Uday and Pankaj and Jyoti welcome her into the family, and that they all live happily, at least until whatever it is that causes Pankaj to break w/ Jyoti happens. And even if Jyoti is thrown out, I do hope that misunderstanding clears up, they are reconciled and have their baby. And speaking of babies, I want Sudha to have them as well 😊😊😊

There are no Devika/Sudha/Uday angles that are coming to mind right now, other than the ones I mentioned, so that's about it. 😆😆😆
I know you made this a DOTW about Jyoti, and I'm sorry, but I couldn't resist hijacking it and making it as much about Devika as I could 😆
