I am lounging and enjoying the great weather on my vacation and the only thing I can think of is "wonder what is happening in Ramayan and in the forum." I decided to access the Internet today to catch up on the episodes I missed and post here.
This Ramayan, for the past year and a half, has been a big part of my life and I am going to miss it terribly. I am also going to miss all the wonderful friends I made on the forum.
I know that Chandra and some others may not agree with me but what I am posting is strictly In My Humble Opinion.
I want to thank the Sagars for re-taking the Ramayan. I want to thank them for the wonderful sets, costumes, and the great songs that I hum everyday. I want to thank the crew of Ramayan for working hard everyday in the background to bring us this show.
Most of all, I want to thank Sagars for giving us such a great cast. Gurmeet as Ram, Debina as Sita, Ankit, Vijay Bhatia, Vikram Sharma, Lalit Negi, Urmila, Mandavi, Shrutkirti, the 3 matas, Pankaj Kalra as Dhasrath, Sumanth, all the Rishis and their wives, Akilendra as Ravan, Praphulla Pandey as Indrajeet, all the other rakshas, the little kids who acted as Ramji and
the brothers, the little Sita and her sisters, Luv-Kush kids, Vibishan, Vali/Sugreev and the wives, the other Vanars, Nal/Neel, Jambavan, the Devas, Shabari, and all the other actors who did a wonderful job in this Ramayan.
The casting in this Ramayan is perfect. I cannot think of anyone as Ramji except Gurmeet. It is the same for Sita, Lakshman, Bharat, and everyone else. The cast of this Ramayan has done such a wonderful job that I wonder if the Sagars can replicate this wonderful set of actors if they take the Ramayan again many years later. Most of all, thanks for giving us Gurmeet as Ramji. There has never been or never will be another actor who can portray Ramji as well as Gurmeet.
So despite all the goofs in the script, A Very Big Thank You to the Sagars.
