Can someone please explain the school system in India to me, plzzzz? In the US kids in the 12th grade are usually no older than 18 (I was 16 🤓)....Isn't she a little old or am I not comparing the two correctly?

Even here we complete 12th grade before 18. I think due to acting she must have missed a year. She has said in the interview she had missed the exams so she took the next one.
