friends ..we all know mayank is the ideal son every mom would love to have...topper,well grounded,sensible,super-talented,respects women[even the ones who go swooning at the sight of him],doesnt waste time for frivolous pursuits,yadda,yadda...but how many of us would actually like to be in his shoes?lets weigh the pros and cons:

upside of being mayank:
1)success,success and more success...very little failures to mull over😃
2)mommy loves me....trusts me completely...never refuses me money or permission..after all im off to buy a new textbook and not waste it on the new cool video game😊
3)girls ,girls more girls...who needs to chase one anyways?😆
4)prizes and accolades😆
5)topic of discussion and envy of every neighbor👏
6)people will love to rush to my aid when i need them coz im ever so helpful😛

downside:
1)success,success and more success...when this gets to my head,this is all i think about👏..i think the world revolves around me and my success
2)mommy loves me...but mommy is the only friend i have😕
3)girls ,girls more girls...only coz they want my notes?actually ,everyone's rather intimidated by me😲
4)prizes and accolades...something to stare at in my old age,when everyone else has forgotten my achievements😳
5)topic of discussion and envy of every neighbour....and bitching as well...one toe out of the line...one minor drop in grades....the topic of discussion for all the wrong reasons
6)people will love to rush to my aid when i need them coz im ever so helpful....but they will never invite me to parties or picnics,coz they know all i do is sit and sulk in a corner 😕

and the biggest one:no one will want to be a close friend coz i am sarcy and ever so witty and like putting people in their proper places...even the girl[guy im my case] i love is intimidated by me and avoids my advances...theres also a lot less laughter and fun when she isnt around...and im likely to develop into one of those frumpy,middle aged hot-tempered society uncles who hides children's cricket balls when they break my favorite photo-frame in which i encased my "first prize in project" certificate😉

anyone still like to be mayank?dont u guys think its time our mums accepted us the way we are instead of comparing us to model students like mayank?

post ur views[me in particular,am bearing the brunt of my mum watching the serial,coz everytime she sees mayank,shes like..."why arent u like him?"😭]

Nice post dear! Thing is im not a guy, im a girl, so the question of me being like Mayank doesn't arise ...but on the contrary, i would love to welcome a guy in my life like Mayank with open arms! I love him for what he is, i mean his character, i know he's studious and least interested in women, but i love the way he respects women, and he also on the other side doesn't give a damn to others when it comes to his attitude, he's extremely clear-headed, optimistic and very very straightforward! And thats exactly what i would want in a guy too!

I love Mayank, but to be him, i would have to be a guy, so yes if i was a guy, i would be very similar to Mayank.

thanx for the reply,yamini,i think you have a very valid point....we all aspire to be mayank[i mean the achievement and the talent part,not being the guy part😉]...but still....i cant help thinking,that if there was no nupur in his life,he would have had a sad life....but question is,how many people would really want to stick around like nupur has done?after all the coldness she has endured on his part...i would say,lucky guy,at least he has one friend...but how many of us are as lucky as him?

Oh thanks! Ya i think i was Nupur, i would have definitely stuck around, that would have been great you see because who would not want a sweetheart like Mayank.

Yeh, again I'm a girl so there is no question of being like Mayank. However, in someparts I would like to be a female version of him. Some of his character traits would be nice to have such as being a really studious kid. I'm just so damn un-studious. I can never be asked to work. I'm so damn lazy and then i'll end up doing hardcore studying the night before and exam! It would be nice to have a guy like him in my life. He knows how to respect women yet have a good time with them. Another thing is he seems to have a charm about him. An egoistic charm which is really nice. However, at the end of the day, my perfect MJHT character to go out with would be Uday! He is just such a cutie pie. I could just squeeze his cheeks and UFF. He's just too adorable for me! Hence why i'm Mrs Dodo and he's Mr Dodo!
