Hey folks... how many of you in here think that Alisha's chest step (don't know how else to explain it) from Jaana meri jaana/zara zara touch me looked vulgar?

The step where she alternates her hip, belly, and chest by holding them..

I will explain the reason for this post after I hear back from a significant no of you....

i thought that step was awesome as well.. she did it very nicely.... i don't think the other girls could do it like her when they did it at the Grand Finale... i don't find anything vulgar about that.. i think the movie industry and the Telly world has more vulgar stuff than that where especially in bollywood they have actresses like Mallika Sherawat and Rakhi Sawant showing massive cleavage and other actresses as well...

i personally think there is nothing wrong with it and its a superb step...

and if anyone disagrees to what i have to say that's fine but please don't sit there and bash me for voicing out my opinion...

I understand how you would think of it as vulgar, because my sister said the exact same thing. She thought it looked like Alisha was groping her breasts.
I felt, it was not vulgar. She performed the step beautifully, and she was the only one at the finale who I truly saw doing it properly.... it was a really hard step to do
now, seeing Rakhi do that was vulgar lol

Maybe it's just me, but anything that is supposed to be vulgar on Alisha ends up looking the opposite because she's so graceful. Whereas if it were someone else you would probably turn away.

Agree with you completely! That's what I understood from the reactions of some in my circle too. Because she is a girl, they are looking at her as touching her breasts rather than looking at it as her moving her torso part for the move - it wouldnt have been looked at the same way if a boy did it!! Why the discrimination against girls - that is low mentality!! Just because she is a girl and has breasts doesnt mean she cannot do that step like a boy - how is she supposed to do it, move her waist instead of torso??

I don't think it's vulgar at all, she carried it off very beautifully. I am not saying that it can't look vulgar, but someone as graceful as Alisha can do justice to any step. It's part of her routine/performance, look at it from that way, and yep I agree ^ just coz she's a girl it gets taken the wrong way. I mean the boys can come on topless or rip their shirt/top off and it's fine but a step like this becomes vulgar on a girl. They're both the same thing really.

seriously, I understand that now shes becoming modern and stuff but she just came from a small city..i bet her dad doesnt like it coz he looked upset when she was performing. Thats just so innapropriate but i dont blame her as much i blame terrence because she was just doing anything terrance asked her coz she wanted to get popular and its thats suppose to be one step that shes gonna be known for (like prince's locking and popping) then thats just extremely inappropraite and shamefull🤢..i mean no matter how modern we get it was afterall a family show and kids watch it
