Chapter 2 – The House of Power
The wedding of Gautam and Damini was nothing short of grand.
The Rajput name ensured that every detail reflected power and prestige. The bungalow was illuminated like a palace, guests moved in clusters of influence, and every ritual was performed with flawless precision.
At the center of it all stood Gautam and Damini.
Two different worlds.
Now bound together.
Griha Pravesh
The massive doors of the Rajput bungalow opened.
Nandini stood at the entrance with a thali, her expression calm yet welcoming.
"Right foot first," she said softly.
Damini nodded and stepped forward.
Her anklets echoed lightly against the marble floor.
As she entered, she could feel the weight of the house—not just its size, but its authority.
Nandini placed her hand gently on Damini's head.
"From today," she said,
"This is your home."
A brief pause.
"If you ever face any problem… don't hesitate to come to me."
Damini replied respectfully,
"Ji."
From the staircase, Yuvraj watched with a faint smirk.
"Entry toh kaafi royal hai," he muttered.
Ansh stood beside him, silent.
Observing.
The New Beginning
The house moved around her like a system already in place.
Servants followed the routine.
Voices stayed measured.
Nothing was chaotic.
Everything was controlled.
Damini noticed.
She didn't react.
Kitchen Ritual
The next morning—
Damini stepped into the kitchen.
It was part of the tradition.
A test of belonging.
A voice came from behind.
"Aap Damini bhabhi ho na?"
Damini turned.
A young girl stood there—simple, warm, curious.
"Main Padma," she said with a smile.
“Yahan kaam karti hoon.”
Damini smiled back.
"Namaste, Padma."
Padma's eyes lit up.
"Aap bahut sundar ho… aur strong bhi lagti ho."
Damini smiled faintly.
Padma continued playfully,
"Agar aap Gautam bhaiya ka favorite khana banaogi na… toh woh aur bhi khush ho jayenge."
Damini asked,
“Unhe kya pasand hai?”
Padma replied instantly,
"Dhokla, thepla aur undiya."
Damini nodded.
"Thik hai. Banate hain."
They worked together.
Padma cut vegetables.
Damini prepared the dishes carefully.
The kitchen slowly filled with warmth.
“Tum yahan kabse ho?” Damini asked.
Padma smiled.
"Bachpan se."
A pause.
"Yeh ghar hi meri duniya hai."
Damini looked at her.
Something in that answer stayed with her.
Dining Scene
The dining table was set.
The family gathered.
Damini served the food calmly.
Raghav tasted first.
Then Nandini.
A moment passed.
Nandini smiled.
"Bahut achha hai."
Raghav nodded.
"Good."
Yuvraj leaned back, amused.
"Bhabhi… aapne toh standard hi set kar diya."
Ansh said nothing—but finished everything on his plate.
Nandini signaled the servants.
"Gifts lao."
Boxes were placed in front of Damini.
Jewelry. Expensive items.
Damini hesitated.
“Itna sab…”
Nandini said calmly,
"Rajput ghar ki bahu ho tum."
First Night
Later that night—
Gautam and Damini entered their room.
The door closed.
The silence felt different now—personal.
Gautam looked at her.
"Are you happy?"
Damini met his gaze.
"Yes."
A pause.
"I didn't expect your family to be like this."
Gautam raised an eyebrow.
"Kaise?"
Damini replied honestly,
"I thought rich people are… distant. Money-minded."
Then—
"But I was wrong."
Gautam stepped closer.
"And me?"
Damini looked at him.
Then smiled softly.
"Yes."
Gautam's voice lowered.
"I fell in love with you the first moment I saw you."
A pause.
"Do you love me?"
Damini didn't rush.
"You've impressed me…"
She held his gaze.
"But I need time to understand you."
Another pause.
"This marriage happened very quickly."
Then gently—
"Let's begin as friends."
Gautam smiled.
"I understand."
"You can take your time."
Days Pass
Days moved forward.
The house settled into routine.
Everything seemed smooth.
Except—
not for everyone.
Ansh & Yuvraj's Discontent
One evening—
Ansh and Yuvraj approached Nandini.
"Mom," Yuvraj began,
"you rejected Bajaj's proposal for this marriage?"
Ansh added,
"Our friends are laughing at us."
Nandini looked at them calmly.
"What is wrong with Damini?"
Yuvraj replied,
"She is good… but she doesn't match our status."
Ansh added,
"We could have had a better alliance."
At that moment—
Gautam entered.
He had heard enough.
"Bas."
They fell silent.
Gautam stepped forward.
"My marriage is my decision."
A pause.
"And I don't need approval from your friends."
Yuvraj looked irritated.
"They're making fun of us—"
"Then stop meeting them," Gautam cut him off.
His tone is firm.
"Even Dad broke his association with Bajaj."
Nandini looked at them.
"Did you hear what Gautam said?"
Ansh and Yuvraj exchanged a glance.
Then reluctantly—
"Sorry."
Damini's Realization
Damini had heard everything.
From a distance.
Quietly.
For the first time—
She saw Gautam not just as a husband.
But as someone who stood by her.
Something shifted within her.
Bedroom Scene
That night—
Damini entered the room.
Gautam looked up.
She walked closer.
Soft. Certain.
"Gomzy…"
He smiled slightly.
"Yes?"
Damini looked at him.
"I love you."
For a moment—
Gautam just looked at her.
Then smiled.
"Thank you… for accepting my love."
Damini interacts with lovebirds in the cage. Gautam said, "Come, let's go to a beach."
They go to the beach. Damini dances along the seashore and plays in the water. Gautam joins her. Both splash water on each other. Later on, both have coconut water. They go near the fountain.

Gautam and Damini go shopping and find clothes and jewelry. Gautam buys a beautiful Kanjeevaram and Banarasi saree with a diamond jewelry set. Later, they go to a flower seller. Gautam buys the flower and puts it in her hair. Both go to the water spring and spend quality time.

Gautam and Damini went to the restaurant and had noodles. Later, they take part in a couple dance. After spending time in the hotel, they go to the church and pray. At night, they spend time at Brandstand. They reach home the next day.
Emotional Closure
Damini sat beside him.
"Thank you for standing by me today."
A pause.
"That's what I was looking for."
Gautam replied,
"I always stand for what's right."
Damini smiled faintly.
"I know Ansh and Yuvraj aren't happy…"
"But I'll make a place in their hearts."
Gautam looked at her.
"I have full faith in you."
They lay down.
No grand promises.
No dramatic declarations.
Just quiet understanding.
Outside—
The Rajput house stood calm.
Powerful.
Unshaken.
But beneath that calm—
something had already begun to move.
