hi all
i am very happy with the results of jhalak.in my understanding, jhalak is not a talent hunt show like boogie boogie or sa re ga ma pa...but a show where we have people who have proved themselves in various fields, trying to learn as much dance as they can on the show.i think, it's not about who dances best...but about who improves the most on the show.if it was about chosing who dances best, then they should select contestants who dance equally well.
for example, gauhar was a good dancer right from day 1....so was hard kaur.baichung, mohinder ji, mr magician (cant remember his name) etc. practically cannot learn enough in a few weeks to be able to dance like her...so there was no sense in having this contest if it was to compare them .but if we are looking for who had the maximum delta x, then that makes sense.
as i have already said, gauhar was already good right from start...there wasn't any significant improvement....may be slightly...but baichung was definitely a surprise packet! a guy who marched like a soldier, was off beat and nervous in his first act...could do much more complicated steps and seemed far far more comfortable and on beat in the end.one can't help noticing how much he has learnt from the show.this shows his dedication and diligence....and the skill of his choreographer...
this reminds me of the story of the race between the rabbit n the snail...where the weak worked harder n beat the obviously stronger contestant
cheers to baichung n sonia!

Now if Bhaichung was the snail and Gauhar the rabbit, what was KSG? 😉

Congrats to Bhaichung and Sonia!

(i'm sleepy or i would disagree on the whole improvement vs. dancing bit)

KSG was just someone who had lots of bad luck and he also had lots of patience to tolerate the biased judges

oh yes....the judges were quite mean with KSG.
@ WOH AJNABEE u r welcome to disagree...these were just my two cents.
I was rooting for Baichung as he was the underdog...
(in a Bangladesh Vs Aus cricket match...i would root for Bangladesh)

Yeah baichung grew as a dancer and gauhars performances in the finale were good too. All the three rocked.
