Shravan back with 'Mere Ghar Aayee…'
Shravan Reddy waited for close to 10 months to get a good role and come back to the television screen. He is finally back with a crucial role in DJ's show 'Mere Ghar Aayee Ek Nanhi Pari'. He is playing brother to the lead character, Chandni (Mugdha Chapekar), in the show.
Understandably, Shravan is all excited about this. "I had been on the lookout for the right role, but was just not getting anything to my liking. Most of the roles that were being offered to me were that of characters much older to my real age! With Sameer's role finally I got one that is close to what I am in real life," says Shravan.
Shravan goes on to explain his character, "As you all know, the story is set in Chandni Chowk in Delhi. Sameer's family shifted lock, stock and barrel to Delhi from Lahore after partition. The family is very loud and emotional and the script and sets have also been done to reflect a typical family settled in Chandni Chowk. My character is that of the youngest son in the family and is no different. Sameer is also full of energy, though lost in his world for most of the time. But he loves his sister a lot and nothing can change that."
Though it has been close to a week since his character was introduced in the show, it is only now that Sameer will come in the limelight. "The character will play a pivotal role in the story moving forward. There will be a romantic track between me and Nidha (Lovleen), my sister's friend. We will shortly be travelling to Goa to shoot a special sequence for this romantic track. I hope people will like it the way they loved Nakul," says Shravan.
Shravan's look in the serial is that of today's ultra-modern, hep youngster. "The creative team has really worked hard on my looks," says Shravan. "You will see me wearing a lot of mufflers along with casual trousers and T-shirts. It may set of a new trend!" says the handsome actor who became a heartthrob with his portrayal of Nakul in Jersey No 10.
The actor is extremely glad and happy to be able to work with DJ's production house. "They have a very high rate of success and I am really proud to be associated with such a reputed production house," he says.
