I guess poor L'Oreal peoplea re going to curse the day 😆 they signed Sonam for thier brand.

She is again using that "I am the young face of L'oreal and I endorse the same brand as Ash".

I have never heard of anyother tow brand people fighting for the young and old title.

The Aishwarya Rai-Sonam Kapoor cold war has been written about and discussed extensively but the two actresses have never spoken about it. Now that has changed. In an interview to Koel Purie on the chat show On the Couch with Koel, The Kapoor girl talked about the Cannes fiasco, and about being the 'young' face of the international cosmetic brand.

A source present during the shoot reveals, "Koel got straight to the chase and asked Sonam what she felt about the Cannes disaster. Sonam initially hesitated, then came the all- telling response: "I don't want to remember it as it is not a pleasant thing to recall."

Always diplomatic

When Koel asked her if she was disappointed about not making it to the festival, Sonam said that she looked at the visit as a part of her "professional obligation." When Koel labelled her 'diplomatic', the Saawariya girl laughed, "But I am always diplomatic, I have never been not diplomatic."

Continuing her questions on Cannes, Purie further asked the young actress to comment on her statement of being the young face of the cosmetic brand. "To this, Sonam exuberantly replied, "I say it as I see it!" and left it there. There was sarcasm in her tone, which indirectly hinted that Ash indeed had taken a back seat in the brand game, making way for the younger actress."

Throughout the interview, Sonam was at her candid best and touched various subjects from being called a motormouth, to her link-up with Ranbir and her films. "It's one of Sonam's most open interviews. The only time you see her get tense is when she's questioned about Ash and the Cannes drama."

True though, innit? I mean, Sonam IS the young face. Ash is going on 36; can't change facts.

As for the Cannes thing, Sonam is only what... 23?24? Personally, I thought it was a little petty of Ash to put her foot down and demand that she alone be the Indian representative, if she indeed did so. Hasn't she walked the carpet like 7 or 8 times.

Exactly. She is the younger counter-part of the brand, and stating the obvious, if anything. *Cue "Making a mountain out of..." here.*

i am confused regarding what the big deal is if she did say that, it is true that she is young and aishwarya has been in the industry for a long time. i doubt aish is bothered about the stuff sonam said.

but it can be seen as a bit of a slap in the face.

What is up with these star kids and their obsession with age, it wasn't that long ago when Kareena used to remind everyone her age at every interview.. "I am only blah blah years old, i am young"..

srsly Sonam needs to STFU about her new "i am young" obsession.. what what if she is younger.. Ash isn't endorsing any anti aging beauty products, she is endorsing lip glosses, mascara etc that is marketed to women of all ages...

so where does "young face" "old face" geriatric face" come into picture? yeah she is free to think her so called "young age" is a great big achievement and accomplishment.. but when she is talking about professional assignments, she needs to stop spouting irrelevant CRAP.. because she just ends up sounding like an inarticulate little brat..

so she was signed for being sucha young face that the only ad she has done so far is for a skin lightening product .. that's right so only "young women" must include these cremes in their skin care regime...

in fact Sonam being such a young little girl should have been the face for Proactiv solution acne treatment, most young people have acne problems..

How come we dont hear of Loreal promoting her as the "young face" ?😕
Infact I have never heard of Loreal calling anyone any type of face ever so if she wants to make up "terms" to suit her and hide her insecurity then sure go right ahead babe.

also why would Loreal Paris invite an Indian starlet who has just recently been signed on to be the face of Loreal in INDIA and who has only done one campaign for skin lightening stuff to her credit and put her on the spotlight at Cannes

What about the local Loreal girls in South America, Taiwan, Namibia, Samoa, gawd knows where else?? what about them?
