Have all mega releases been postponed to August?

I know for a fact that Kambakkht Ishq has been postponed, atleast until August 5th.

Then I read Riya saying Kaminey has also been postponed.

That leaves out Love Aaj Kal. Kully do you guys have any info or news about when thsi movie's coming out? Seems like Kaminey and KI are playing it safe and waiting for some sorta agreement with multiplexes to avoide releasing the movie in just single screens, which is what will happen right now.

I'm hoping LAK is also postponed, which would explain the slow promotion.

All the movies are kinda doing under handed promotions at the moment, since htey are still not allowed to release promos.

So LAK is being promoted by its facebook group, and by new pictures, by being introduced in Cannes

Kaminey is being promoted by the same tactics, facebook groups, pics, and now shahid and priyanka are performing in IIFA.

And same goes for Kambakkht Ishq. Promoted by pics only at the moment, Kareena performing in IIFA awards, facebook group, introduced at Cannes.

And all three have had some sorta website launched.

Same here! But I know that it will be the FIRST release outta all hte big movies to come out after hte strike is over. That's really good, coz audiences are movie hungry. They'll pounce on KI. Bad news is...LAK and Kaminey will probalby be released right after, one after the other. I think we're looking at three mega releases here, all in the month of August.

First Kambakkht Ishq, then Kaminey, and finally Love Aaj Kal.

One of the conditions of the striek was that all movies will release in the original slated order.

I'm just confused because Sabbir said KI will be the first mega release and we've been told that LAK will release on June 26th, even if it is in single screens.. I have no info on it as of yet - Imtiaz has been really busy lately. I could ask someone though. Let me send them a message.

Maybe he thinks it'll be over by then?

and they already have most of their promotional events ready na.. 😕 I don't want it to be postponed. I just want this strike to be over. 😡

Kully, better to be postponed and released i multiplexes with proper promotion than to be released this way in single screens. Until this strike is over, they cant even release a promo. Havent you noticed that?

And i specifically remember Aamir calling Saif up and asking him to remain firm on the stand.

Its just risky girl. Single screens wont cut it...OR, it might just have the opposite effect.

BECAUSE its the only movie releasing in June, it has a clear run until July. Then perhaps, even if it is run in only single screens, it can recover the costs before KI hits the multiplexes.

Its part of the conditions of the strike.

Until this issue is resolved, no movies will release in multiplexes and no promos will be shown. That's part of the reason why KI couldnt go to Cannes this year. Coz they couldnt promote the movie.
