Excellent point Pallavi !!!
I too get so fed up the way these girls are portrayed these days, my blood seriously boils !!!
Loving the parents, the family and all that stuff is fine, but actually lying down get walked all over ?? Where in the world are those balanced women we once came across on tv like Kalyani of Udaan or Badki and Majhli of hum Log,Priya of Imtihaan (the best women oriented serial to date after Udaan) or even the famous Tara and her flat mates who come to Mumbai to make a career and actually live like normal girls and make normal mistakes !!! Simran gave a wave of fresh air with her bold yet sensitive portrayal of a strong woman who was very human before the director had to spoil it all...
Why are we going towards glorifying these perrinially regressive women who in the name of 'parivaar' take anything and don't have a spine?? 😡
Other than giving her an dark look, I don't see anything in this serial which makes it different from the kasauties and Tulsis and the all the prototypes that we have today. At least jassi gave her one whole year of real life feel before morphing into Michael Jackson identity crisis personified. Maybe we shud be thankful for small mercies!! 😡
Wonderfully put Minnie!!👏 I agree with you 200%.. This especially was the icing on the cake "Simran gave a wave of fresh air with her bold yet sensitive portrayal of a strong woman who was very human before the director had to spoil it all"..
I also agree with Aparna's post.. KP had some quite nice strong characters though some of them got bit**y in the middle.. But that is expected in most serials..
