Mad at Saloni (US 'Stealing' Episode)!!

I don't know if it is only me but I felt my blood boil yesterday when I saw Saloni stand so dumb when she was accused of stealing. I blame her family big time for just believing the crap about her stealing Rs 4 Lakhs from Kaveri but I blame her even more for not clarifying it! When her mom asks where she got the money from, she stands dumb. Now, that is what I call a doormat! And her explanation to Buasa is that "I don't want to tell anyone at home that I sung on TV. What if Shubhra's would-be Sasural gets to know about it. It will ruin Shubhra's life". Did Miss Goody-two-shoes even THINK what would happen if the Sasural waale got to know that she STOLE money!!! Which is a bigger offence - stealing or singing in a music competition????? I think the answer is obvious to all except Saloni!! And to top it all - she goes and apologizes to Kaveri saying it was her fault.. I don't know about others but I have no symapthy for people who can't stand for themselves or who can't stick to the truth. Fat lot of sacrifice she was doing - she ought to realize that at least her dad would be much more upset about her stealing than particpating in a talent search competition..😡 Sorry if I came across too strong..But her behaviour yesterday was disgusting to say the least..

come on Saloni...whatz wrong with u..Singing Vs.Stealing!!! how can one compare these two things. Moreoever, Shubra has insulted Saloni so much and now she wants to accept the thing which she has not done. I dont know what kind of msg does the director wants to pass on.... 😡 😡

About feeling sorry for her - I used to feel sorry for her till now but now i feel she is partly to blame for what's happening to her.. 😡

I completely agree with xyzee! Made me loose respect for Saloni. Why can't
the producers show thrie heroines to have a spine and not some
downtrodden crybabies. It makes me mad that in the 15 min or so that the
actual selial runs all we see most of the time is Saloni or her mother crying,
Her mother by the way puts all mothers to shame!!.

I completely agree with you. I FF'd the whole episode after seeing her take the fall for something she didn't do. Grow a backbone girl and stand up for yourself. She'd rather shame her family by being accused of being thief rather than a singer? What a load of poo. The writers need to make things a bit more realistic. There was no substance to that excuse. And, now I am starting to think that she deserves what she gets... since she can't seem to stand up for her rights.

i agree w/ u all saloni needs to stand up for herself come on singing is a great talent that is respected everywhere and she is say her singing will ruin shubra's life my foot and she accepted something she didn't do for someone who insulted her so much i mean she needs to stand up for herself if my sis would've said all that crap to me i would'nt just stand there looking all cryingly i would slap her on the face all this is starting to descust me come on get a life 🤢

really this was too much. Saloni has to learn to stand up for herself. Shubhra goes on insulting her like anything and Saloni keeps on tolerating. It reuires courage to stand up for truth. If Saloni knew her parents would be ashamed of her once they knew that she had participated in a voice hunt competition - she should not have done that. I mean if you do not have the guts to stand up for truth or for what u have done - then go and whine and cry only.

Good post, xyzzee! I dont understand how they are trying to make a model out of saloni's behavior in any sense of the term...assuming that there is a lesson to everything that is shown on TV.
I feel that the portraying of women in abused situations has become the norm of these serials and makes me long for old DD serials even more where the female actresses had a character - good or bad, but it was a character nonetheless. NOw it seems as if character portrayal has soo little meaning to it. They make women sound loud, annoying, conniving, and vampish OR they sound demure, quiet, tortured, unhappy, pitiful! Why can they not understand that it is important to break such a mentality rather than promote these images that are carried by so many men...why do we have to conform to "haan aurat aisi hi hoti hai"??? 😡
