i just had this major doubt.. is widow remarriage acceptable in BV then, what with the near-marriage of Phooli with a guy twice her age even though she's a widow??.. i mean if that was so, then how come such a hue and cry is made about how a daughter's whole life is ruined if her husband dies, like in the case of Sugna, where her mother was crying more about how her daughter's future is ruined since she can't get married again and how her dreams of seeing her as a bride evaporated, than over Pratap's death..

is widow remarriage acceptable in BV ??

I doubt it as far as society goes, but in the TV show BV it will be shown to change people's perspective on widows and divorcees (hopefully in some other future show).

Even dowry victims are separated / divorced from their husbands but are seldom readily accepted as brides for the suitable boys by their parents.

Widow remarriage is acceptable i guess coz even Basanth had got a proposal from a widow before maasa found Gehna. But look at the kind of guys the girls have to accept.. generally desperate perverts much older to them.. don't think any man will accept older women.. so basically its life ruined if your husband dies. Mindset of men has to change, men who are ready to accept widows into their life like this Shyam character.
Don't see it happening much even in educated societies.. its still difficult to get matches for divorcees and widows especially women with kids.
