Emotions run high
...as telly kids celebrate Mother's Day with their reel as well as real mothers


The lovely little Balika Vadhu, Anandi aka Avika spoke to us about her three mothers. Three? Well, her real mother, her reel mother and her onscreen mom-in-law! "I think I am the luckiest kid around to have three loving mothers. Bhairavi Raichura who plays my mother on the show is very sweet. I have fewer shots with her, but she's amazing both on and off the sets," says Avika.
"Smita Bansal who plays my mother-in-law is more of a mother to Anandi than a saas. Her fondness for Anandi knows no bounds," adds the bubbly girl. Speaking about her real life mother, she says, "My mom is the coolest. Without her, it would have been impossible for me to manage my studies and my work. She works very hard just to help me out. I love her a lot!"
Avika's reel hubby Jagdish aka Avinash Mukherjee says, "In the show, I am the apple of everyone's eyes. My mother and grandmother in the show spoil me rotten — both on and off screen!" He adds, "Well the case isn't any different at home. My mother (real mother) loves to spoil me too, but then she also scolds me when I don't do my homework. I love her. Her support is very important to me."
The other tiny tots who play Ichcha and Tapasya in Uttaran on Colors are equally excited about celebrating Mother's Day today. "I have planned a little surprise for my mother. Since she does so much for me everyday, I want to thank her in whatever way I can," says Ishita Panchal who plays Tapasya.
Sparsh Khandchandani who plays Ichcha adds, "I have made cards for both — my real and reel mother. My mom is my best friend and helps me with everything I do."
Looks like these tiny tots are all set to make their moms feel special.
