Hi! 😃
Mimi here XD
Okay, sooo... I won't ramble on too much and I'll get straight to the point.
I had this SaJanBen dream last night (please don't ask why I dream about MJHT) and I just had to write it down and share it with all of you! 😊
This is actually more of a BenJan thing (I'm sure all of you know that I happen to be a huge BenJan fanatic, notice the siggy) and this is how I kind of wanted Sam to realize he loves Gunjan...through Benji!
I have some more scenes planned out, but those will be written down later as different "One Shots" 😉
OH, and did I mention that this is my first ever one shot? 😆 Boy, this is exciting.
This is not and FF, so there will be no more parts. This is just a random scene I had in my head, and yes, I will write more BenJan one shots because I have a lot of ideas that I want to pen down 😊
'Till then, lemme know what ya'll think of this part. I've written it in one go, so I know there's a lot of grammatical/spelling errors. Bare with me 😛
BenJan (and Sam) One Shot
~Written by mimi0295
Gunjan tried her best not to watch Samrat. She hid inside her books, but why was it so hard to live without him? Why was she scared to close her eyes? She knew why, but she didn't want to admit it. She couldn't sleep because all she could dream about was him.
Yes, she loved him. More than anything. He was her everything: the only person that
accepted her for who she was. The only person who encouraged her to overcome her fears. The only friend she ever really had. She didn't want to put their friendship at stake. So what? She could be strong. He loved
Sheena. Not her. Why couldn't she be happy for him? What was wrong with Sheena? She
completed him. She had the looks, the grace, the flawlessness Gunjan wished she possessed. Sheena was
the 'it' girl of college. Who didn't want to be labelled as Sheena's boyfriend? Who didn't want to be with Samrat?
They were two halves of a whole.
They were perfect.
Who was she? She was nothing. She was just another girl in Samrat's life.
How? How could she be so stupid? Why did she fall in love with him, when she knew that he could never be hers. Gunjan decided to avoid Samrat, just so the pain growing deep inside of her heart could somehow magically disappear. But it didn't. She didn't choose to fall in love, so how could she just make the aching go away?
"Hey Chashmish!"
Gunjan peered up, trying her best to forge a smile. There he was. His arm draped around Sheena's waist.
Perfect couple.
"Chashmish, where are you these days? I never see you around anymore." His lips slightly pouted.
"Samrat!" Sheena said. "I'll be right back, just need to do some touch up (makeup). See you around Gunjan." she smiled as she trotted into the lady's room.
Samrat looked around suspiciously. "Gunjan, come with me!"
He grabbed her hand and she felt electricity rush through her body. He took her to a deserted locker room, and closed the door behind him. "Chashmish! I have something very important to tell you!"
Gunjan's heart began to beat faster. Questions began to sprial through her head.
"He needs to tell me something. Maybe this is it. Maybe he does love me."
Samrat took out a small box from his pocket. She gasped! Inside, there was the most beautiful diamond ring she'd ever seen. It was so simple, yet so beautiful. There was a single diamond placed in the middle of the ring.
"Wow." was all she could manage to say.
"You like it? I knew you would! I was thinking of you when I bought this."
He was thinking of her. He bought a ring. It was the kind of ring someone bought to make a relationship official. Did Samrat buy it for her? Did he realize that he loved Gunjan?
"Do you think Sheena will like it?"
*sad tune plays in the background*
Gunjan felt her heart tear in pieces. Of course this ring wasn't for her. Why would she be so naive to even think that? It was for Sheena.
"I'm thinking of proposing tonight." he said, smiling sheepishly.
Proposing...Samrat was going to make his and Sheena's relationship official.
"Hey! Chashmish..." he cupped her face. "What's wrong?"
"N-nothing." She couldn't help but float on cloud nine whenever he touched her. "I'm happy for you Samrat, I'm sure she'll love it."
Samrat backed away, not looking convinced. "If you say so. But hey, I'll call you with all the details tonight!" He winked at her before leaving the locker room.
He was gone. Just like that, with the blink of an eye. Never to come back.
She'd been holding in her feelings for Samrat for so long. It was so hard to watch him walk off with someone else.
"WHY!" she cried out. "Why is this happening to ME? WHY did I fall in love with him? Why do I still love him? He'll never be mine." she broke down into tears. "He'll never be mine."
There was a creak behind a stall. Gunjan quickly wiped her tears. What if someone had heard her? What if they told Samrat?
"Gunjan!" someone called out, behind her.
"Benji?"
It was indeed Benji. He stood there, puzzled. Gunjan couldn't tell whether or not if he heard anything. She quickly looked away, and headed for the door, praying that he didn't hear her.
"Running away from him isn't going to solve anything Gunjan." he called out.
Gunjan halted. He knew. He had heard.
"I'm not stupid Gunjan. I don't know why you and Samrat think I'm blind." he said, walking over to her. "I know you love him."
Gunjan closed her eyes as if everything would go away. She let the tears flow down her cheek. What was the point of hiding them now?
"You can't just let him off so easily. You're gonna have to fight for him. You deserve him Gunjan. No, scratch that. He's yours."
Gunjan opened her eyes. "He loves Sheena Benji."
"No!" his voice grew louder and serious. "He thinks he loves her. I've known Samrat all my life, he has this image fixed into his head that his dream girl would be different, she'd be one in a million."
"Sheena's different." she argued back.
Benji laughed. "And so are you Gunjan. Sheena may be the most happening girl in Excel, she may turn all the heads, but you're the girl who brings out the real Samrat. You're the girl who makes him happy. Samrat may not know this yet, but he loves you too."
He loves you too. The words stuck to her like glue.
"And I'll make sure he realizes your importance Gunjan. I promise." He touched her cheek, gently, yet reassuringly.
Somehow, Gunjan knew that Benji was telling the truth. She saw nothing but sincerity in his eyes.
"Thank you." she whispered. "For everything."
