I use Adobe Photoshop Elements 1.0. It doesn't have quite that many bells and whistles compared to the PS7 or CS, but you can make decent graphics with it.
For the download period, there's no
legal way to keep it functional for more than 30 days, other than buying the copy. You could try tricking your computer's clock into thinking it's a different time, but I do not recommend it. The "trick" can end up screwing up your computer.
If you're low on money, I'd recommend trying to find a copy of Paint Shop Pro. I admit I like Photoshop a lot better, but PSP does almost what PS does at a fraction of the price (and if you look hard, you can get it for cheap). If you insist on using Photoshop, try out Photoshop Elements. It's around the same price as PSP, and it
is Photoshop, no?
