Well there is no definite answer for the question you pose .. I thnk Mithun is there so that he can emotionally blackmail famous people to come on the show if they dont have to promote a new movie .. ie the exception of Neil Nitin Mukesh and the recent singer who attended to cut his album

If not for Mithun, the 'stars' would have been apprehensive to come on the show but now how can they NOT come - they are all his fans !
