Another Confirmation on the Aging Process and Cast for Epilogue of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows

The Harry Potter movies are reaching their dark climax with "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" coming to theaters in July. The latest trailers and posters offered a brief glimpse of the maturing Hogwarts kids as Harry gradually becomes more aware of Voldemort's origins. Off-screen, however, David Yates and his crew are filming the final installment from J.K. Rowling's series, "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows" — and that includes the epic's final epilogue, where the original cast members will appear older than ever.

"We will shoot it," producer David Heyman confirmed for MTV News. Rowling wrote a flash-forward ending to "The Deathly Hallows" that shows where the characters end up as they grow older. Heyman also indicated that the original Hogwarts actors would be filling those roles for the sequence, rather than being replaced by older lookalikes.

"Yes," he acknowledged, nodding that aging done to the characters would use the existing cast.

"The Deathly Hallows" will be split across two separate movies because of the story's scale. Parts I and II, which are being filmed together, will round out a big year for Potter fans with less than a year's separation between their November 2010 and July 2011 release dates.

Heyman, who has been overseen production for each of the Harry Potter films, offered an exclusive commentary on July's "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" that will appear in next week's summer movies preview here at MTV News.

Are you glad they're sticking with the original actors instead of switching it up?

It's good that they're sticking to the original actors. It will be more believable. I just hope they get good actors for the kids, especially Albus Severus, because he's supposed to look exactly like his father.

Better if they had not shot t at all. The epilogue, IMO, is the weakest part of the entire series.Just destroyed the charm of the saga by thatsinghle chapter [for me]. They made HP seem more lke a fairy tale, that ends with "and at last they all lived happily ever after", when n reality HP isn't supposed to be lke that at all!
Btw, they need to be quick n making the DHmovie, cause the Potter mania is gonna wear off pretty soon.

You only don't like the epilogue because Harry marries Ginny.😈😉😆

^ Yes dear, that's one of the millionth reasons, but I gave my reasons for not liking it; it makes the saga looks so artificial. I never said people will start hatng HP. I meant the craze, the obsesson will wear off. That's all. Trust me, it willhappen. Tme has its effects.

*sigh* I suppose you're right about the HP craze.🥱😭 Oh well, as long as the Twilight craze goes down along with it, I don't mind!😃😆
The craze may go down, but I think most people will still love it as their favorite book/series. I mean, lots of people still love Jane Austen and JRT's Lord of the Rings, don't they? (hopeful look😍)

^ But that's what I meant! Craze or obsessionand true love isn't the same thing. Well, all Twilight has is an obsession, and obsessions (by nature) is supposed to go down after few days. The result can already be seen. However, if a work produces both obsesson and has serous literary qualites in it, then even if one day it's obsession goes down, people will not forget it. HPwill always be remembered as a great literature; however, the same craze will not remain there. That's what I meant. Hope it's clarified.
