I began watching this show recently only....is this woman Jyoti's mom or step-mom? What a sick woman, she actually has another "kundli" saying that jyoti is manglik!!! Really selfish woman.

I also wonder how a mother can treat a child so selfishly for herself and her other kids...even d brother feels sorry for Jyoti...

ishe is not step mom, she is just so selfish, anyways when u have lack money for food then no releationship does matter.

She is partial to the son because when she gets old her has to take care of her, and if she doesn't show him preference now, then she is afraid of the future.

Jyoti is their only support right now - otherwise, the mother will have to go house to house and do cleaning (that's what she has said in the past). So, without Jyoti, the house would not carry on. That's why she can't allow Jyoti to get married until the son is finished his studies and starts to support the family.

Yes - she is terrible, but in order to survive, she does whatever she can!

BTW - Sudhi was abused mentally and humiliated by her Dadi, and has grown up to be afraid of everything. She even developed a split personality. So, her personality roams at night, and Sudhi is up during the day - no sleep makes her look this way.

yes its true that her mom is the most sick mom i have ever seen on indian television.

i mean saagi maa aisi pehli baar dekhi hai.

ladke ko jyada hi sar pe chada rahka hai ,and bechari ladkiyo se kam karwati hai..

i personally dont like that character at all.

But honestly, she makes a good negative character - she also acts in Mata Ki Chowki on Sahara One and is very evil on that show too - she really does negative roles really well!
