I didn't know much about Mithun as a person prior to the show, but he comes across as a very nice person. He has never been extremely rude to any of the contestants. Even when a performance is not that good, he will say it in a nice way, never putting the contestants down.
I love how he calls Alisha - Ranchi ki Rani and consoles her when her performances are not good, how he tells Sidesh never to give up by giving him the example of background dancers who made it big, how he encourages Jai everytime after Geeta tells Jai that u were ok in comparison to ur partner, etc.. Yes he might not be the best judge and be fit to be the grandmaster, but having him on the show is definitely an encouragement for the participants. He always boosts their morale and that's what I like about him.

When you put it like that, then I do agree. Mithun is a good cheerleader for the contestants. Now that eliminations are based on public voting, I don't mind him as much.
