'Twilight' Star Robert Pattinson Talks About Nude Scenes In 'Little Ashes'

In GQ cover story, he also calls 'Twilight' fan fiction 'surprisingly hard-core.'

For all the Twilighters out there writing fan fiction featuring Robert Pattinson, you should know that the man also known as Edward Cullen is reading it.

"It's surprisingly hard-core. And very well-written," he said in a GQ cover story.

Things are about to get a lot more hard-core for Pattinson. RPattz is ready to share his first onscreen love scene with the world, but for girls who are hoping it's between Bella and Edward, they better think again.

"In a lot of ways, I was kind of crossing lines of what I thought I was comfortable doing," he said about his new movie "Little Ashes," in which he plays surrealist painter Salvador Dal. "I had to do all this naked stuff.

"I thought I'd never get another acting job again," Pattinson continued. "So I was like, 'Yeah ' why not try to do something weird?' There's all these gay-sex scenes. And, you know, I haven't even done a sex scene with a girl in my whole career."

Pattinson said it wasn't so much having to play gay that was hard, but having an audience there for it. "Here I am, with Javier [Beltrn], who plays [Federico Garc] Lorca, doing an extremely hard-core sex scene, where I have a nervous breakdown afterward," he said. "And because we're both straight, what we were doing seemed kind of ridiculous. ... And it wasn't even a closed set. There were all these Spanish electricians giggling to themselves."

Talking about movies is one thing for Pattinson, but for the guy who nearly had a panic attack at the "Twilight" premiere, talking about himself in interviews isn't easy.

"The only way to establish any kind of mystique is to completely shut up and never talk to anyone," he said. "And I'm contractually obligated not to shut up."

Check out everything we've got on "Little Ashes" and "The Twilight Saga's New Moon."

I wonder if he was misquoted. In other interviews he always seemed to be very proud of his work and in this won it makes it sound like it was the worst expereince of his life.

I guess, an actor has to try different parts in order to discover a totally new part of his brain.. usually this happens when acting in really really weird but rather interesting roles and movies, such as Little Ashes, haunted airman(SUPERB ACTING!). I think Rob won something out of it.. I don't know what this is but.. he played Salvador Dali, a rather strange but very very talented person and a very interesting personality.. and these weird parts are the ones that make an actor to take a step, a little further.
