ROTFL.... same here😆 I have read a couple of sl*sh fanfics about them, and surprisingly, I enjoyed them to the last bit!😲😆😳 (but it might also be due to the author who wrote them so interestingly). 😕😳 Either way I never imagined or thougbt about the possibility of this couple, and quiet honestly speaking, the thought of them as a a cuple really freaked me out. But seriously though, their friendship had charmed me from time to time.😳
BTW I liked ypur asnwer...such a detailed one👏
Oh, well, how do you think of Luna and Hermione?😆 Two completely different girls falling for each other?😆 Not talking about a serious relationship, just a temporary crush😆 God I guess I'm getting mad😆

hehe thanx...no ure not getting mad at all😆I LOVE fanfics about harry/Ron(and its quite popular in fandom to be honest 😳😳) It always happens to me too...when I discover a new couple I kinda get freaked out BUT after a while Harry/Ron started growing on me......😛.......and honestly I like harry/ron more tahn harry/draco but I agree with you that HD do have a connection. Even though i cant see Hermione-Draco at all LOL.
Hermione/Luna is CUTE to me because I think Hermione is more sensitive than most people expect (People expect her to be a total rational thinker but I don't think so...she has dreamy side to her)And her and Luna make a great couple coz Luna might bring out Hermione's hidden side out more often😉 OR at least i would like to think that😆
BUT I agree with you that some fanfic authors are great (the Harry Ron ones)...I just love reading well written fics😊

Completely seconded! I think it'd be fair to say that both Draco and Harry have a very [un]healthy obsession with each other. If the number of times Harry mentions him in HBP is any indication... then, he thinks more of Draco than he does of his one true love Ginny which is kind of sad. I think even in the last book, the whole Slytherin-Gryffindor is largely left unresolved with the Gryffindors and the other two houses isolating the Slytherins so an H/D relationship might have provided some sort of closure for that.

Yep that's what I just said. Can't really say about Draco (because as I said before we have no way of knowing what is going inside his head, as the entire saga is narrated through Harry's perspective) but Harry's obsession with Draco (even if it's in a negative sort of way) is very much clear. As you stated it quiet right, the number of times Harry had taken Draco's name in HBP, it can be a good way for J.K.Rowling to show us the tension b/w them, without having to state it directly in the book. It is possible that Harry indeed had some feeling for Draco, (because both were victims of cruel destiniy, and had been tortured by their own family members) but I believe Harry wasn't aware of that.
Since nothing about Draco had been written in the book, I would like to believe that Draco also had feeling for Harry, but unlike Harry, maybe he was aware/consciouss of that. I never thought of this almost impossible possibility before, until I started reading fanfics based on Draco's life, and read various character analysis of him. The main reason why Draco hated Harry was because Harry didn't choose Draco as his friends on the first day (rather than HArry being popular and Draco being jealous of that), but rather took Ron (a mudblood lover, or blood traitor, in Draco's eyes) and Hermione (a mudblood in Draco's eyes) as his friends. I'm more than sure Draco was simply frustated and angry with Harry for that reason. Maybe his (Draco's) frustation at the fact that he loves Harry so much, wanted him so much , and yet Harry refused him had turned him into such a rival enemy of Harry? Who knows, maybe if Harry had indeed chosen him as his friend on that first day at Hogwarts, Harry could have been able to change Draco completely?

To be honest, I've never entertained the thought of Harry/Ron as a couple. I admire their fierce friendship but their might be the problem of clashing egos in a long-term relationship but then again, that's a problem for almost every relationship so maybe Harry/Ron would work great. Ha. I don't hate Ron. I think that given his loyalty to the Gryffindor house, he might get comically angry if his sister or his closest friend was to fraternize with "the enemy" -- kind of like with Viktor Krum in GoF.

Hmm, so we need to disagree here I guess. No problem. I also love the fierce friendship these two guys share, though I won't deny at times I really felt angry at Ron for walking out/ not supporting Harry in various circumstances. I could stand the fact that in DH Ron walked out of them in the middle of the adventure, owing to the fact that Ron wasn't prepared for such a life (since he had always been fed well in Hogwarts and at home by his mother whereas in the tent they couldn't even manage to get proper food), but Ron not believing Harry in GOF had really made me feel like slapping him tight across the fact, LOL.😆
But good thing is, Ron always comes to realize his mistakes, and asks for forgiveness no matter what. Also, he doesn't really harm Harry, no matter how angry he (Ron) is with him (Harry).

Hm..Luna-Hermione would be a rather unorthodox pairing but I don't think they'd work in the romantic context. I've always though of Hermione's potential would-be partner as being someone who knows their mind, is intelligent enough to hold their own (as much as I adore Hermione, she can be a push-over quite a few times) and not be steam-rolled by Hermione. Luna's whimsy, notwithstanding her intelligence, might drive Hermione over the edge because Hermione is gung-ho about being logical and rational. When it comes to Luna, I think I'd stick with the Luna/Harry pairing. The boy's got so much so much of the hard and cold reality in his life that Luna's other worldliness would provide a contrast to that. Plus, it's not like Luna is loony - she does have wisdom to share and does express her opinion when she feels the need to. There's also that she can be supportive and comforting, as seen in OOTP where her presence has a soothing effect on Harry.

But that's the reason why I would like to see a Luna-Hermy pairing - because of their complete two different peronalities. While one believes in things without having any solid evidence for it (Hermione would rather put it as "She believes in things as long as there's no evidence for it!"), Hermione is extremely close minded (not in a negative sort of way) but she is. I think both of them are two forms of extremist. That is why I guess them having and spending some time together could help th situation. Hermione could become more open-minded staying with Luna, while Luna could learn to atleast stop beliving in absolutely foolish things. Both has something to learn from the other.
Though I wouldn't deny the amount of fightings that would have taken place if they were together....LOL
Yep, I would love the Harry-Luna pairing, for the reason you stated above. Luna is not actually a loony many would like to believe. Infact Luna is as much as intelligent as Hermione is, just the difference being that they are intelligent at two completely different aspects - but intelligent nonetheless.
Here is one essay from Lexicon (if you haven't read that already, that is!) that speaks about Luna's importance in Harry's life and his circle of friends:

Luna's Place in the Expanding Circle of Friends

by Antosha

Luna is clearly Hermione's mirror. I think Hermione's rationalism, which is such an important part of the trio's dynamic, has its downside: an unwillingness to leap before looking; a fear of the unknown. We've watched Hermione freeze up in just about every book because her studies haven't provided her with the answer. Usually Ron and Harry have to pull/prod/jolly Hermione past these crises ("Are you a witch or aren't you!"). Freud and Jung would say that the thing you're afraid of is the thing you buried, the thing you secretly want to do. But now we have Luna who is Hermione's physical photo-negative (blonde fluffy hair instead of brown), who is, like Hermione, brainy, if in an entirely different way, and who embodies all of the things Hermione most lacks: intuition and faith. Not big-F Faith, because, thankfully, we haven't gotten a straight sermon in the books yet, and if we do I'll scream. But little-f faith in the possibility of the world operating on laws that transcend the limits of mere physics, chemistry and biology. (This is, after all, a universe where magic works.) I think that Luna's 'fuzziness' gets under Hermione's skin precisely because it is so scary to her. But I think it is part of the support that Harry needs in order to stay sane while facing the horrors of the mysteries that he must face in the years to come. And I betcha knowing Luna forces Hermione to grow too. Besides, how fun, someone else for Hermione to bicker with. And possibly to fight over Ron with. Whooopee!

I'm a rationalist, myself, and love Hermione for her logic and her intellect--and her loyalty. But I think it is wonderful that JKR has inserted Luna, and with her a door to all of those unanswerable mysteries the Department of Mysteries has been struggling with. It allows JKR to touch on issues like death and love and time and responsibility on a larger scale than merely life-within-the-plot without resorting to a religious or even secular creed that would lessen, rather than increase, the books' impact, since whatever belief she espouses would be at odds with that of 90% or more of her readers.

2004 Antosha

Oh, forgot to add, yes, as much as I also love this girl (Hermione), she can, at times, get highly nagging and irritating. Though I love it in some odd sort of way.😆

Nope Khushboo, that's were you are being mistaken: I'm already mad. Mad for the HP series. Yes, Ron/Harry FF's are quiet common, but given the immense popularity of the series, this doesn't at all come as a surprise for me, you see. I even read fanfics ranging from HArry Hermione to Snape Hermione.😆 You wouldn't believe to what extent this authors can get just to express their imagination. Though I deinitely love it (and as fas as I am aware of J.K.Rowling does loves it too).
Fanfictions is the reason why I'm still alive now, or else I would have died the day I finished reading Deathly Hallows.😆 My appreciation goes to the number of authors who spends their valuable time writing these ff's that seriously take me once again into the magic world of HP. While reading, I sometimes even forget that this is a complete non-canon story, it has nothing to do with the real HP. Ofcourse, no author can come closer to J.K.Rowling, but some still are highly gifted and they can easily slim into Jo'swriting style, making me feel as if this is really happening, ya know. Though I won't deny some ff's are downright tragic. Most FF's that shows H/R as a pair needs to make Ron break up with Hermy and Harry break up with Ginny. Harry's break up with Ginny is something I don't care (or rather enjoy😉) but when Ron breaks up with Hermy, Hermy's heart breaks down too, and it melts my heart as well😭😆 I am sure a crazy lunatic.😆
THe H/R fanfics I've recently read were very nicely written, and that's what ,I guess, have made me such a big fan of their pairing, all of a sudden, LOL.
Yes Ron is Harry's Wheezy😆

^^^^OMG now that you mentioned Snape-hermy, I had tried reading those one too, I got totally freakedd out😆I am fine with fics that make Hermione time travel to when snape was young ( I have read a couple of those...but the other ones are just CRAZY ahaha)....and trust me I am alive coz of the fanfics too 😆 but I only usually read the harry-ron or ron-hermiione fics...I think it's time to expand my horizons😆.
I am quite fine with Harry-Ginny breaking up too 😆 I just wish JKR would have given a better reason as to why Ginny is Harry's soulmate (she keeps on saying in interviews that they are soulmates but sorry to sya I really dont get it)...if it was better develpoed realtionship I would liked it canonically so to speak lol. Anyway I don't like stories that involve R/hr breaking up, I just rather(in fanfics) that Harry-Ron get togther and ron hermione don't like each other in the first place.🤔 btw that line of Dobby's is my fav..gotta love good'ol Dobby😳
