Pratap's parents as expected

Going by a character sketch, Pratap's parents have behaved as expected. blaming sugna for the incident.....they way they behaved before gauna...threatening to break marriage if gauna was delayed....was a good enough indication of their mind-set.

Pratap's parents belong to Maasa's world.................

they are not different than people like maasa...good for maasa....😊 But am reall sad fo Sugna's parents...they would never hurt a soul and themselves are going through so much pain....but children' have to repay for their parents misdeeds...😭

Yes, i totally agree with you. Pratap's parents have behaved as expected.
Before this all happened i had, kinda expected them to behave like this since that time when Pratap was caught by his dad when he was calling Sugna and his dad got all mad and told him that he is a boy and boys are not supposed to talk to his "going-to-be-wife" like that and blah blah... At that time i thought he had such conservative mind and even what he and his wife had said about breaking Pratap's and Sugna's Marriage and stuff, i thought they had such conservative minds like Maasa. They also had this "my boy is too great for your daughter" attitude. If you know what i mean. So, yea i had expected them to act like that too.

And you are also right about them being like Maasa. Now, Maasa will taste her own medicine. But i don't see much about how Maasa will change. I am thinking that Maasa will act like everyone that has lost their "going-to-be-husband" is the one to blame for his death, except her granddaughter and herself, that's the way Maasa is anyway.

And about the children having to repay for their parents misdeeds...i say mostly that does not happen or in other cases it depends. And i don't think that is the case in Sugna's marriage. I mean as i remember once Pratap and Sugna had talked about how Pratap will be forced to marry some other girl by his parents if Sugna's dad does not agree for the gauna and Sugna had said that if that happens then she will die or him and her are going to run away. Either way it was Sugna's choice. So, i don't think she is having to pay for her parents misdeeds. Just my opinion.
