The one who is like a mother in the kitchen ..
Who is like a minister giving sound advice to her husband ,
Who is like a slave in his deeds,
Who is rambha when he wishes ..

The slave part is something that is rather controversial...
I was watching a program on the channel Aastha International, and the scholar explained it by saying that most of those words in that line should not be taken for their literal meaning. He said that the daasi part relates to being a daasi to karma and duty.Forget about just a wife, pretty much everyone is bound by duty - absolutely everyone. The special mention for the wife, is pretty much due to the importance that a wife has... after all, she is the strongest pillar of the household.God bless.
