Raksha I am so glad u opened this post! Whole of y'day I stayed away, didn't want to write anything so as to hamper the gleeful attitude of the forum. But today after watching the episode I just couldn't stay quiet. This was the Heer who showed Prem his place & fault when they first spoke, this was the Heer who gave a piece fo her mind to Preet when he accused Meher of stealing Gayatri's bangles, this was the Heer who fought with Prem for that dress he gave her which ultimately led to his confession, this was the Heer who told Prem 'yeh hota hai pyar', this was the Heer who stopped Prem innumerable times from sleuthing about Manmeet & they had that confrontation in Manmeet's room.........and in all these situations she was angry, emoted her feelings, desperation, wrath, pain, sorrow perfectly to the T. She never once had to snarl, had to gnash her teeth, tilt her head back & forth, dangle her fingers in front of his eyes, take her face right in front of his face to have a head on confrontation, roll her eyes, shrill her voice to a screeching pitch & yet we LOVED her! We felt with & for her, cried with her, applauded her, appreciated her but after watching her today I officially want to bid goodbye to this show. If this attitude is given the name of women's power & women's lib. or whatever then I being an independent woman of 'today' respectfully bow down.
We all change, rather all of us have a character growth but again we don't change our basic characteristics, nature & personality but our understanding, maturity, handling of a situation definitely changes. I will also say maybe our reactions also changes but the way to react, that changes too? I mean I don't even want to contemplate comparing Heer's attitude today with the image that flashed in my mind then. And this is our Heer, Prem's Heer whom we loved till the last breath, with our very soul, accepted her in our hearts so lovingly?
She is constantly egging him, nudging him to retaliate, instigating him to react & when after so much of constant goading when he will react furiously tomorrow then we all will be crying out loud in desperation & create an uproar!
They r not only spoiling Heer's character but is determined to taint Prem's character as well, if they haven't already done it. I have lost hope in the creatives & the show, had given them enough time to revive the show but day by day they r just deteriorating it to the pits. I was aghast to watch the show!
And what was that "Prem ko hamesha bura lagta tha jab bhi Veera aisi kaheti thi naadani mein'! Yeah Prem felt bad but not once he opened his mouth to protest, neither he used to say anything in his defence ever! That was the Prem we know of as far as his family was concerned. U know this fellow is different & a look alike then why ask him how different he is from Prem & why is he reacting in so un-Prem like manner? If u think he is wrong just point it out how he should react or behave in these situations like this. U r that Heer of Prem-Heer r 1, u ought to know Prem the most & nobody can tell any1 other than u what & who & how Prem was! Why did u have to bring the house down with ur raving & ranting because he kept quiet?
I ought to feel the most for Heer, I ought to feel her pain & sorrow, I ought ot cry with her, I ought to lend my shoulder to her & yet all I feel is this sense of void, a loss & disgust. I can't relate, associate, correlate or connect to her now & that is what is eating my heart out! Is this the reaction u expect from us for our lead couple? If yes then Creatives I am sorry to say u have not understood the essence & soul of Prem-Heer, their love, their impact, their generosity, their 'accepting the entire world in their hearts' attitude - all u guys know from the endless BT soaps u made is to make the lead pair fight like cats & dogs or rather the female lead to rant in fury & the male to be a wimp & totally spineless. Also another thing let me tell u any emotion or feelings if shown daily to the hilt loses its impact! Right now Heer is reacting violently in her body language & expressions even when its not required, so too much of this shown every time, everywhere, everyday & we will lose all the sympathy, pity or sorrow we ever felt for her. If this is the case u r planning to churn out here then its better u end the show for good & we can live happily cherishing the old memories in our heart. We can keep them immortal the way Garry Bhinder & Ravindra Gautam portrayed them to us.
She definitely needs to tone down her anger or rather her reactions to her anger & her body language. Sorry to say its making her look a little ....er....inhuman to say politely! I am seething with fury, thanks Raksha for this post & again I apologise to have offended anyone, it was not my intention, am more annoyed with the creatives for spoiling the favorite couple on TV now.
Lana.
