LIFE IN SLUM

Neighbours of actor Azharuddin Mohammed Ismail watch the a telecast of the 81st Annual Academy Awards near his home, in a slum in Bandra, suburban Mumbai on Monday, February 23, 2009. Azharuddin, who is attending the ceremony, played the youngest version of Salim, the brother of the main character Jamal, in the Oscar-nominated film Slumdog Millionaire.

OMG... i have become so teary after this. dnt know why??

it makes me wonder all those who were against the slums n the SDM movie.. to go hav a look at the slums first.. ppls living n lifestyle there...... newys i'm lost fr words.. god bless them.. hope our goverment n rich ppl of country do something fr these ppl.

I guess we all need to do our bit as citizens.......

After seeing these pictures, someone should go to so called Celebrities and give them a lecture (i wish i could say something harsh). Just because you have all the luxuries, you have no right to bash a movie when a person made a good movie. It's funny a western director made a fantastic movie SDM. We as people should help slums, every penny counts.

Oh God! I hope the government keeps their promise........these slums shouldn't exist in the first place.....this is not a poor 3rd world war torn country...........everyone has the right to live a respectable life.......
