Nice topic. I am curious to know how my fellow writers get inspired to write.
I was not new to writing. I used to write poems and stories in my mother tongue during my teens.
When I joined this forum last year, I started reading a couple of FFs (Sangeeta's and Munee's). Reading through them, I felt like writing something too. I was depressed over some personal matter one day and I wrote about 15 pages mindlessly about Michi. That made me suprisingly relax. But I hadn't planned that FF, so didn't really have a story to tell in there.
Later after few months, I was very disappointed with Kayamath that they didn't keep Michi together through Prachi's pregnancy. I was extremely sad that Milind didn't get to enjoy his fatherhood which he so longed for. I ended up writing a short FF called "Dreams" to fulfil my dreams for Milind.
Later I wrote another FF called "Pyar kya hota hain" to tell a simple Michi love story.
Then I wrote another FF called "You are the one" because I wanted Milind to accept a Prachi who had a past (a marriage and a baby) and also wanted to show how Prachi secretly loved Milind Mishra who was her friend/philosoper/guide though he didn't even know her.
Later I wrote a few one part FFs where I again fulfilled my dreams for Milind, Prachi, Ayesha and Kayamath. Bascially what I wanted to see in the soap which they were never to show.
Though writing FFs is a satisfying, joyous experience (It feels great when readers interact with you agreeing or disagreeing with what you write)- It had a negative effect on me. I was spending too much time on writing updates (every update takes at least 2 hrs) and that way my work suffered. I have forcefully stopped myself from writing these days.
