Mere yaar ki shaadi: Maninee
Maninee De and husband Mihir Mishra were amongst many popular faces from the TV industry who attended Juhi Parmar and Sachin Shroff's grand marriage in Jaipur.
The actress gives us the lowdown on the ceremonies, her understated outfit and the sound advice she gave them.
Maninee gushes, "I must tell you that it was a fantastic marriage. Both of them were looking very nice together."
The actress, who flew to the pink city on the February 14, says, "First we went to meet one of our friends who stays in Delhi on the 13th and we reached Jaipur on the 14th morning. After attending the marriage on the 15th, we left from there on the 16th. Except for the Haldi, I attended all the rituals right from the mehndi to the ladies sangeet- each and every thing."
Describing the costume which she wore for the grand affair, Maninee tells us, "I am not too much into dressing so I wore a simple turquoise and red chudidaar for the wedding with a sleeveless kurta and some ordinary old jewellery. Mihir was dressed in a very nice Dolce & Gabbana suit on the wedding day. For the other occasions, he wore a sky blue kurta with a little work on it."
Apart from them, many other telly stars also joined the celebration. Maninee says, "Tina and Hussain, Ali Hasan and his wife, Mohit and Aditi, Simple Kaul and many others were there from the industry."
And what did the couple gift the newlyweds? "We gave them a few candles with a candle stand because I personally feel that they light up every home and are beautiful," says Maninee. Perhaps apart from the gift, there were some tips too which the actress gave the bride? She says, "Every lady after getting married should keep this in mind: her husband's wallet should be open and his mouth should always be shut (laughs). Jokes apart, I told both of them just one thing, you should always have trust and faith in each other because that is what keeps a relationship going."
Apart from gifts and tips, Maninee has wishes for the couple too. "I always have one thing to wish every newlywed couple which is what I wished Juhi and Sachin too. It is: love your companion to the fullest and always remember that you are very precious and there for each other forever. Try to maintain your relationship by nourishing it with love and care for each other," she says.
