Jimmy to do one Punjabi film a year

Actor Jimmy Sheirgill is not pleased with the recent news report about him turning up late for an event, apparently to reassert his star status. "Articles like these upset me. I am a disciplined and professional artiste. I have never been late for any event or shooting in the past 10 years. False news irritates me no matter how inconsequential it is sometimes," he says. Jimmy will soon start his own website called www.jimmysheirgill.com which will give details about his professional and personal life. The media and fans can also access his latest photographs.

"I have observed that magazines and newspapers have been using my old photographs. This website will help them download the latest photoshoots. Also my website will carry personal and professional details about me, so that there are no false rumours." Jimmy has also decided to make it a point to do one Punjabi film a year. "I am a Punjabi and it is something that I owe my fellow folks there."

Talking about his films, Jimmy said, "I have just completed the shooting of Deepak Tijori's Tom, Dick and Harry, where I play a mute guy. I wanted to do a comedy film for a long time now. So when Tijori offered me this film, I jumped at it. It is about three guys who are deaf, blind and mute and who end up falling in love with the same girl."
Sheirgill dismisses comparisons to Indra Kumar's Pyare Mohan that has a similar theme. "I have heard about Pyare Mohan but Tom, Dick and Harry is definitely going to be different," he concludes.
