Episode No 409 Monday 19/1/09

Danda household - the place is calm - like the IF lounge
minus Roja - Tams is quick to point that out to Nandhu -
"veedu gaaliyaa irukku, sandai poda kooda orutharum illai"
Nandhu also looks lost ( hmm ippo Tams attention pooraa
yen mele thaannn.... Kannumani Loosumani poonumani
thangamani aachh - a la Bhagyaraj of the famous Mundanai
mudichu - BG by Roja for Nandhu - Loosu seekiram vaadi
kannu, kaappaattthhuuu) Danda sends Tams as envoy to
fetch Angu - after biting Tams a bit Angu makes her grand
appearance along with her badrakaali eyes and stop signal.
Danda and Angu exchange pleasantries (??!!!) in their usual
way and wash the old linen for some time. Finally the supreme
court rep Danda has a solution - "Angu, u go and pacify Loosu.
Bring her here and she can live with moron. And moron can have
the best of both worlds - Viji will live with her parents and moron will
shuttle between both homes" Angu spits on every one's face -
"thoo ..ipdi pesa vekkamaa illai??? If it were Tams in this position
will u ask Nandhu to play the shuttle bus???' The expression on
Nandhus face was worth watching - "ada ada ipdi oru chance
namakku kidaikkumaa?? Maama nijamma maama velai paarp
aaraa??? " Tams is ready by his side to pour ice cold water
after chiding mommy to spare her name. Now Angu does a
mangamma sabadham - "loosu is taking all necessary steps
to divorce moron. Once the divorce is through, I am planning to
get her married to a NICE fellow - one who does not drink.."
Tams is angry "che ,enna asingamaa pesare, amma??" Angu
quickly points out -"ithile enna asingam??Unga appa pechu
thaan romba asingam" Family is stunned ( Angu, nee mattum
solra mathiri senjiyaana......Roja will stop making all these
deragatory comments about you, sariyaa??)

Santhanam on the street - a customer who bought a cell phone
has complaints and wantshis money back. Santhanam asks the
customer to go to the shop and ask "the gentleman Pechi" -
"he will return the money". Just then moron comes in his car and
sees maama on the streets. Wants to know why he is not in the shop.
Santhanam sheds some crocodile tears ... apologizes for his
action... manages to impress moron that Viji is crying all the time
" neenga illame avalale irukka mudiyalai....no annam no thanni"
( entha thanni ppa?? moronbrand??) Moron promises to visit her
and asks maama to come to the shop.

Hospital - Athai is feeding Muzhi - Nurse comes and calls athai
to meet the doctor. Tilaga brings Kavi - Kavi cries " sezhi, na
kobathile pesitten. Neenga illame enakku yethu life?? ipdi
seyyalaama?? Naa inimel ipdi seyya maatten vu vu vu" Muzhi
for his part apologizes to who evercares to listen- "Paasa mazhai
pozhigirathu, ovvoru rhuliyulum un mugam therigirathu -
BG by Roja - Tilaga leaves as she has an urgent top level
confidential meeting - pinne? Megs kitte discuss panni ,
nalla kalyana mandabam fix panni, oru RKO pOda vendaam?/ -
Sari, intha Geetha enge kaanum??? - Athai comes back and sees
the family paasa rains - sulks " visham kudichavanai kaapathinathu
naan.... inge ipdi clan getting together??? hmmm"

Episode No 410 Tuesday 20/1/09

COD and QBS after a long time - well, they are still
in good mood (sandai podalai nnu kannu vaikkathe
Rojaaaaaaa) COD is feeding QBS and both are laughing.
Awwwww vanthutta daaa Kothai vanthuttaa....... face le
ellu kollu ellam oil illame ye vedikkarathu....the couple
are oblivious to her arrival......notice much later and both
welcome her - "Oor le oruthar santhoshama irunthaa enakku
pidikkathu look" on Kothai's face. Some pseudo feminist
talk from her once again ( what else do u expect from her
Rojaa?? Tilaga kku parenting guide, Kothai kku true
feminism pathina guide.... Roja, RKO tickets sale le
ithukkellam fund allocation unda??) Anyways , Kothai
is here to find out as to why QBS is not coming to the office.
QBS says that she is pregnant and would be off from work
for a while ( apdinnaa?? leave letter laam kudukka vendamaa?
ennada office ithu.....Half baked Navin, Roja kku velai
thariyaa?? office le vanthu Megla update panren😉.)
Kothai leaves with a grumpy face after calling QBS as
a "normal" woman who is all set to change diapers....( hmm
diaper changing is a tough job nnu experience panni naa
thaan theriyum..)

Nadu theru conference between Loosu and Amutha ( enge
mma pOne?? aalaiye kaanum??) As usual Loosu's life is
discussed thread bare in the nadu theru and Loosu says
that she went to moron's house only to please Angu -
" I had no intention to chase Viji out...and now she is pregnant.."
Finally talk turns to Sara's marriage - Loosu asks about
him getting hooked but Amutha is sad -" he says that he never
wants to marry...after me, who is there for him? thaniyaa
irukka mudiyumaa??? etc.,etc.," Finally after discussing all
important issues, Amutha leaves...Loosu looks thoughtful?
pained?? athu ennavO, the mouth is agape ...Roja looks up
the sky.... any crow in the vicinity??? Because , it can easily
reach for Loosu's breakfast😉

Maniac and Megs - evening - alone at the office. Megs says that
she wants to discuss some thing which is connected to Maniac's
future ..blah blah.... ( She blushes ....smiles.... Anitha voda love
ai thaane solla pOre??? unakku enna ipdi oru expression??)
Well, like Roja Maniac is also misled - thinks that Megs is
going to propose..eagerly prods.... and finally Megs says
" Anitha likes u. She thinks that u will make a good hubby,
what say??" ( Megs , u forgot some thing - these issues are
normally discussed in nadu therus...your clan has no belief in
"in camera" sessions...) Maniac becomes bussssssss
Tells Megs that she has to carry the message of "sorry for
Anitha" Now it is Megs who becomes bussssssss . Wants to
know why Anitha is rejected ( nee kette, avan sorry sollittan,
apram enna vambu??? ) Maniac says that he is in love with
a 'devathai" and so can not consider Anitha. Now Megs wants to
rub some more salt ( unakku unnoda nose and mouth thaan
enemies - why poke your nose in to unrelated stuff??) - "avangalum
ungalai love panraangala? Maniac says that he has not declared
war oooppsss his love as yet. Megs paatti doles out free advice -
(kaasaa panamaa?? advice thaane, alli vidu) "seekiram sollidunga
sir" Maniac agrees...Megs leaves.... maniac has his usual
expression....

Episode No 411 Wednesday 21/1/09

Viji's house - Santhanam has a plan - which he claims to
be the "best" as usual. Wants Viji to murukkify when moron
comes - " nee sirichi pesi na un mele mathippu irukkathu,
so konjam rough aa iru.." Viji is not so sure ( yey kirukku,
moron kooda nee thaane kudithanam pannine..unakku
enge pOchu buthi??) Mommy does chayng chakk - "appa
is right Viji, aambalaigalai konjam vittu thaan pidikkanum"
( hmmm bull kku kodukkira mathiri long rope nnu solre...
aana thisis moron, u can hardly predict his reactions!!)
So, Viji asadu agrees ( all your dad's ideas have gone
kaput..all the time.....athu sari, unakku Swamy oru green
pea ai moolai kku bathila vaichu anuppittar, nee enna seyve,
paavam??) Moron comes, Santhanam talks about "Viji
forsaking annam and thanni" ..... moron goes in, tries to
make a conversation..Viji murukkfies...moron egirufies...
" Kannu is very nice, I tortured her but she never did any thing
against me.... did not take me to the police ( memory is
short, eh?) but u and yr dad maligned my name ....." exits
angrily, Santhanam does a "maple mapple" run but to no
avail. Both Viji and mommy curse santhanam.

Anitha and Megs - Anitha is happy that her poem is
appreciated by all and sundry....sees Megs with her head hung.
Is smart to realise that Maniac said NO. Tells Megs that
"they" (?????)are mature people and should know that every
coin has two sides " I expected this. This can work out only
when both of us have some feeling for each other..." Megs
now says that maniac loves some body and is yet to declare
his love to his devathai -" if that does not work out, he may
consider u" Roja does a nara nara nara ( grits her teeth) -
the only sensible person in this serial is Anitha. How dare u
relegate her to be an "export reject"???? - Anitha has the
sense to realise that Kalai clan has no brains ..coolly explains
that she would pray for maniac to succede in his love -just
short of saying "second hand? no, thanks.."

Maniac and Swamy - Swamy is ready with his bottle, plays
bartender to maniac.....and then probes. Maniac says
that Megs came as an envoy for Anitha and is upset.
Tells swamy that if Megs had feelings for him, she would
not represent Anitha. Swamy says that it is possible that Megs
is testiing grounds -"ammini unnai test pannuthO?" Maniac
has that mad look - holds Swamy by the neck and says
" she is destined for me.... sollu sollu..." Swamy is scared..
must be recalling how Kalai gets dharma adis.... agrees
with every thing that maniac says ..finally maniac asks" what if
she has someone stashed away???" Samy has no answers...
Maniac vows to find out "kandu pidikkanum....."

Episode No 412 Thursday

Danda clan - moron almost crashes Tams by his car.
Well, he is drunk (so whats new??) , blabbers......
"all of u spoiled my life......wife aam..." The clan fusses
around moron and Tams is man enough to put him
to bed. Danda once again reminds us that he does still
have connections to the Kalai family - cries copious tears -
"ayyo ivan life ipdi pochee" Again it is Tams who is quick
to make decisions. "appa, antha Loosumani yai divorce
panni dalam. Viji is the one who has rights now. She is
pregnant with our kudumba vaarisu..." Danda relinquishes
his supreme court rep.ship to Tams - agrees to what she
says "I will take this guy and talk to Loosu..."

Kavi's parental home - looks like her dad has got himself
a new set of dentures - bites and spits words with more gusto.
Pounu manages to convince hubby that Kavi's life is
with Muzhi - "money is the issue, right?? we have enough, we
can help them and get them to be with us!!" After kadichu
thuppufying some more words ,dad agrees - on one condition.
"he should be a ghar jamai ( veettu maappillai) I cant have
the RKO clan here ( athu sari thaan.... edutha odane ellam
oppari paadum, kashtam thaan!!) Mommy is happy that the
hubby vedalam has come down the drumstick tree - asks
hubby to get ready to go to the hospital - "inge ipdi pesittu
ange vanthu words ellam kadichu thuppa koodathu, ok?"
Hubby agrees ( hmmmm, Pounu, he is going to give u and
us some nice TN veli halwa.... )

Santhanam in Danda household - cries to sambhandhi -
"arumai perumai yaa valartheneee mmhumm vu
Ilavarasi mathri valarthenee mmhumm vu" - Pechi gets
all worked about the Ilavarasi part and can not hide his
nakkal smile ( Roja understands..totally) Finally, Santhanam
impresses on Danda that he got Viji married to moron in
spite of the fact that he was married already.." ungalai nambi...
yen maappillaiyai nambi.....Viji yai kuduthen......Baby in
thoppai....." Danda agrees to visit Viji...

Episode No 413 Friday

Well as the members predicted, the historic meeting
between Loosu and Saravanan happens. Loosu comes
calling "athai" ( ayyo da ellarum athai , ellarum maama
ennavO pOngappa) Amutha is away - conveniently -
Sara is at the back yard - Loosu starts one of her lectures.
Asks Sara about refusing to marry Geetha. Sara dilly dallies
but Loosu insists - like Roja Sara is also irritated - "ellam
therinjum, how can u ask me like this?" But Loosu wants
to hear him say "THAT" - probes some more and finally Sara
says that he can not forget her - while Loosu is mooking her
way, Angu walks in - identifies Loosu's slippers and enters
the house quietly - listens to Loosu and Sara. Loosu has
some theories of what should make a true lover happy -
"If my marriage was a success, you wont feel like this. We
liked each other, nothing like Laila /Majnu love story. I lost
my marriage. I have enough problems to cry for ( athu sari
your family does not need any reason for crying..... Roja kku
pocket money from the RKO ticket sales thaan!!😉) If u stay
single, I feel more guilty. At least to please me u should marry.
Sara prooves that he is Loosu's Ex - " my answer would have
been negative for any one else - just because u asked me I am
willing to marry any kazhuthai ( athu ennamO unmai, any
girl who gets in to this family in the name of marriage needs
to be a beastof burden) Anyways, Loosu leaves as Angu hides -
the stop signal is furrowed.....

Viji and her parents , Danda and Moron - Viji is viick vick ing -
Danda is irritated like Roja - asks her to stop the vik vik. Viji
manages to inform hubby and FIL that sheloves moron so much
that she did all those mistakes - " no one understands the
true love I have. I wanted every body to like me but it back fired.
Moron does not love me any more, divorce me..." Now Danda
is very angry - " every onewants to run away??? All the time
Loosu was talking about it. Angu is behaving like an youngster.
Moron has two wives but both are away.....Oor enna pesum??
Dey, moron bring Viji home. There will be no problem from
Loosu's side..." Viji and parents are very happy ...Viji waits for
a word from moron..moron nods feeling all important (uh huh)
Santhanam goes and muskafies Danda - " I love u sambhandhi..
I love u" tries to kiss (??!! Yaaru kiss pannanumO avanga murukki
kittu nippanga.....ithu rommmbbbaaa mukkiam) Danda warns dire
consequences.." behave yourself....last warning...."

Maniac and Samy at the construction site - Samy says that megs
talked about "treating athai with my first salary" when asked for
a treat. Tells maniac that it ispossible that "athai" could be the
MIL. maniac is in denial - "no, it cant be, she is mine, all
mine, apdi irukkum pothu how can she have an athai??? If there
is some thing like that, i will go to any extent to spoil that" Samy
once again must have thought about Kalai and his captivity -
tells maniac that he will personally visit the Tilaga household
and find out....

Episode No 414 Tuesday 27/1/09

Loosumani graces Danda household - gets a chance to do
a lot of "mooking" (this girl should be suffering from constant
sinusitis!!!! always mooks ..never naaaks!!) Danda sees Angu
sitting alone and unhappy - asks Tams to go and pacify mommy.
She does her usual "sweet talk" which enrages Angu. Loosu times
it perfectly and enters the house. MIL and DIL cootchi coo and
of course cry some. Loosu says that she consulted a lawyer and
has the necessary papers for mutual divorce. Angu wants to know
if she plans to walk out on "HER" for ever but Loosu says that
though she disowns moron, Angu will always be her athai -
" Viji is pregnant...if I am here .....it wont look good.... but i will come
here often..enjoy your hospitality....." Tams does a beautiful
nodichufying the chin..... Well, Loosu hands over the documents,
mooks some more with athai and leaves....

Samy visits Tilaga household - Paatti sings - Life history of Megs
Samy gets all the info - song sung blue weeping like a willow...

Hospital - Kavi's parents arrive - impart the good news of accepting
Muzhi as SIL - Kavi's dad bites and spits "on one condition..."

Episode No 415 Wednesday 28/1/09

Starts with the hospital - Muzhi lying down as if heis enjoying
all the attention!!. Kavi's dad spits out - "I accept them as a
couple..." all faces show happiness and wait for the follow up -
" Muzhi has to stay with us as veettu maappillai" Looks like
the rest have no objection - Muzhi looks relieved "no job, no
earning.. FIL panam le jolly aa irukkalaam..." But Tilaga wont
hear of it - " because every one demeaned him , he drank poison.
If he stays as ghar jamai, there will be more reasons for
such consumption....all rats will be free!!" Athai tries to
refute Tilaga but Tilaga stands her ground.

Megs visits her athai ( kashtam da samy....ange ange oru athai..
or maama.... Roja kku head spinning) After some pleasantries
and little crying from Lachu, hands out money from her first
salary. Comes home and finds out about Samy's visit - Megs
is unhappy that Paatti sang like a cuckoo -"samy semai vambu,
now maniac and the whole office will know Megs puranam.." Paatti
feels bad her kacheri...Megs consoles....

Danda clan.... the police inspector viists -( home nurse mathri
home police inspector aa??? no case and so fly ottufying??
whateverrrrr) Angu and the police kaari have a chat. The
inspector learns the whole story and does a one woman
felicitation and graduation ceremony for Angu -"best MIL in the
world" Finally tells Angu that she being who she is....."u must
look for a nice groom and get your DIL married again..." Angu
agrees that she has the same idea....Police inspector promises
to be the priest -" naane antha wedding ai nadatharen..."
Moron and Viji get down from the car...

Episode No 416 Thursday

Starts with the house inspector amma conducting the felicitation
for Angu and promising to be the priest for Loosu's remarriage.
Moron and Viji enter and moron echoes Roja's sentiments -
"enna inspector amma ivvalavu dhooram??? veedu veedaa
vanthu case thedaringalaa??" Words fly from both ends...
moron claims that he knows the law like a lawyer( uh huh)
and finally inspector promises to "muttikki mutti thattufy"
moron at a later date.....leaves the arena...

Samy alone - flipping and flapping like a bat - finally decides to
hide the " life history" of Megs - maniac comes and demands to
know the whole story. Samy says that it was all a joke -
" neighbours.....summa for fun calling Megs DIL......that boy
is a school going kid....." Maniac is happy and gives his maniacal
laugh.....

Tilaga comes home and proudly announces that she vetoed
the "'veettu mappillai" idea - " he had to consume poison now
for all the demeaning.....if he becomes ghar jamai... he will
have to attempt suicide a few more times......rat poison stock
eppovum irukkumaa enna??" Megs reasons out -" amma u forget
one thing...Sezhi himself wants to live in luxury. What is the use
of blaming athai for his actions?? he was lured by Kavi's money
and that is why he ditched Geetha... just because he is our
boy, we can not be blind to his selfishness... let them decide
their life...." Tilaga seems to understand Megs' point....

Hospital - Sezhi is discharged ....Kavi's dad grits his teeth
( so whats new??) "awww 12,000 rs??? naa thaan azhanum.."
Kavi's mom manages to drive him out of the room and tells
Kavi " car is outside... you and Sezhi can get in ...appa and
me will join you both.." athai is judiciously left out.....Kavi
hesitates and finally says that they will go to Muzhi's house
(Tilaga's house) and come later. Athai is seething.... bursts out
"enna ? u both have no vekkam or maanam... i cant go back to
that house.... the present house is rented by me...I will go and
stay there..." leaves.... Muzhi does his usual flip flap.. Kavi is
undecided....

Episode No 417 Friday 30/1/09

Angu and Loosu meet in a temple - Angu has some
thing to ask - goes beating around the bush -" I beleive
u talked to Sara about his marriage...when your life is
like this....... how can u think of others??" ( hey Angu ,
by now u should know that Loosu is the incarnation of
Bhuddha, Gandhi and Krishna) Loosu talks about life
in general - " always not fair u see..." Now Angu says that
she overheard the convo between Loosu and Sara - " on
that day, all elders made u the scape goat.... if moron had
not married you, you would have been happy with Sara.."
Now Loosu says some thing sensible "kalyanam nnu onnu
nadakkatta I would have been happy.." Finally Loosu vetoes
Angu's idea of remarriage with Sara... ( Angu do not give up,
try and try some more...it will work..)

QBS and COD - light hearted banter - generally both are happy
about the new life......

Muzhi and Kavi arrive - Tilaga household - harathi is taken ( rat
poison fail aache, athukka?? or first visit after the marriage??)
Warm welcome and Tilaga gloats at sonny boy's return ( the
return of the prodigal son??? uh huh) Wants Muzhi and Kavi to stay
with them and all become quiet for a while. Kavi speaks up saying
that it is not practical to stay in Tilaga household - "athai, he is
theonly son... after Megs gets married and goes, he has to support
this family...... money is very important for life ...the lack of money
was the reason for all this turmoil.... he does not have a job for
his qualifications ( athu ennavO??) If we go there,my dad will set
some business for him, we can make money and then all will
work well.." The argument was convincing and Megs does some
more veppilai adithal ....Muzhi says that Kavi discussed this with
him and this seems to be a sensible suggestion. Tilaga agrees and
says "ok, but stay till the evening and then u can go, ok??"
