Teary-eyed Kaikeyi is telling Kaushalya and Sumita that she came to that room to see her Ram. Suddenly Ram's picture falls down. The queen mothers are shocked. Kaushalya picks up Ram's picture.
Kaushalya - Sumitra, my Ram's picture fell down. Does it indicate something inauspicious?
Kaikeyi - Didi, Ram makes everything inauspicious as auspicious.
Sumitra - Why do you bring such thoughts into your mind?
Kaushalya - When a person is bound between opposing situations, then his own thought becomes his enemy. It threatens him and then he thinks of bad more than good.
Sumitra - Only because a picture fell down, why do you think so negative?
Kaushalya - Why did only Ram's pictue fall? It could have been some other too?
(Sorry, I didn't like this dialog. It sounds as if Kaushalya wanted some other picture to fall though of course we know that was not her intention.)
Kaushalya - In the battle, did Ram ...?
Sumitra and Kaikeyi prevent her from speaking further.
Kaushalya - But a mother's heart says that this is true that my Ram is surrounded by problems. I feel children should not grow up.(She is right. There was a time when I also felt why I was growing up. Growing up means studying more difficult subjects for exams.😭)
Kaushalya - When they are children, their mother can protect them. When they grow up, then mother cannot control them, cannot run for their protection, cannot take the attack of weapons upon herself. God's leela is strange. Everybody treats mother as God. But we mothers cannot protect our own children.
In the battleground, Laxman pulls the string of his bow. A thunderous sound is made.
Ram - Why suddenly this bowstring sound?
Laxman - Bhaiya, I have signalled Ravan for the war.
Ram - But the war started long back and is in its final stage.
(Laxman's anger and Ram's calmness are both very good here and even the contrast between the two is very good.)
Laxman - Then where is Ravan? He wants to confuse us. Permit me, brother. I want to attack Lanka. I do not want Ravan to run away to save his life. I want to enter into Lanka and challenge Ravan.
Ram - Laxman, you should not take any decision influenced by sentiments.
Jambvant agrees - Lord is right, Laxman. May be he is waiting for us to enter Lanka.
Sugriv and Vibhishan also think the same.
Laxman - Will we keep waiting?
Ram - Wait is another name of patience and that is another name of forebearance. We will wait. Our wait will be the test of Ravan's patience and forebearance. He cannot escape from death today (with anger in eyes). (The transformation between Ram's calm face and angry face was beautiful.😊)
In Lanka, jyotishacharya is not willing to change Ram's kundli because he feels that it will be a destruction of his knowledge.
Ravan - I think death is written in your kundli. Nobody dares say no to Ravan. In whose kundli do you want death? Yours or Ram's ?
Jyotishacharya (afraid) - Ram's.
Ravan - Then make Ram's kundli.
Ravan changes the positions of the planets. Dark and huge clouds, and thunderstorms are seen in both Lanka and Ayodhya. (Sumitra and Shrutkirti are also shown together with the queen mothers.)
Ram feels as if he is losing his vitality.
Ram - Laxman, it appears as if somebody is taking all strength out of me. I need rest.
Sita - Ma Durga, there must be somebody who understands Ravan's evil plans.
A sage is shown meditating. He opens his eyes. His disciples tell him that something bad is going to happen and he should use his powers to stop it.
The sage - Calm down. Have faith in God and enjoy God's leela.
(Can somebody tell me if this sage has been shown in any earlier episode? Is he sage Agastya? His name was not revealed in this episode.)
Ravan comes to jyotishacharya and sees the kundli.
Ravan - Is it Ram's kundli?
Jyotishacharya - Yes.
Ravan - Really ?
Jyotishacharya - Don't you trust me?
Ravan - Ravan trusts only himself.
Jyotishacharya - Who can dare to cheat you?
Ravan - My brother Kumbhkarn, my sons, my brave warriors - none of them thought that Ravan would be alone after they are gone. Even my dear Indrajit did not think that Ravan is not used to being alone. (Ravan is sad here). If I do not call this cheating, then what do I call it? Ram is responsible for it. I will never forgive Ram. By my order, the planets will create death in Ram's kundli. Ram killed my entire family. Now I will kill him.
I liked today's episode more than yesterdays's because there was more substance.
Kaushalya's emotions and Kaikeyi's teary eyes looked very genuine. But I think that the dialog between the queen mothers should have been shorter. Laxman's anger was nice. There was very gradual and natural transformation between Ram's calm face and angry face. It was nice that today there was much less of Ravan's laughter. (Wherever he was shown laughing, there was adequate reason for it.)
But war was not shown even today. That is sad. Wish there is war in Monday's episode.
