should aussie captain ponting be sacked?

i was talking with my dad last nite and he said ponting my get the sack as aussie captain, i find that shocking since he has done so much for the aussies, after 2 losses i dont think he should be sacked.

wot do you think?

NO WAY!!
Ponting is one of the best captains in the history of cricket... A few losses doesn't mean that he should be sacked!! There was nothing wrong with his captaincy..he is an experienced campaigner.. His team lost coz of not performing well...Some batsmen wer completely out of form...same is wid some bowler.. Aussies didnt lose coz of him..

They just cant overlook all his achievements as a captain and all that he's done for the team..

i totaly agree sonu, since warne an mcgraths retirement the aussies have no decent bowlers, i dont think mitchell johnson is anything special yet.

yeah.. mitchell Johnson is still a bit raw...He's not yet ready to b the spearhead of Aussie bowling attack..he has decent pace and swings the ball quite alot.. He'll only improve from here on...Some international cricket experience will help him alot..
With the retirement of McGrath, there's a lot of responsibility on Brett Lee.. And Lee has not responded too well.. probably coz of his troubled personal life.. which is why Aussies are facing quite a lot of problems..
Moreover, Hussey and Hayden are not in good batting form right now..and since they are 2 frontline batsmen...which is why their whole batting is struggling..

hayden retired so thats done,

they got ponting,katich,hussey an clarke thats it really batting wise,

i think either south africa or india will over take them this year.

That's a tough question. He's been a really great cricketer and captain. Despite the recent failures of Australia, I think he should be given more time to make changes and adapt to this new environment.

Just my thought.

At the moment, Ponting has some new n young cricketers coming in the side ..so it will take him some time to gel them together as a team.. He has a lot of responsibility rite now.. A new captain is the worst thing that Aussies wud want at this point in time..

The majority of the aussie team is raw, most of them are young. But ponting is good, and I have always said that. He has won a lot of matches. But maybe his time is over, you never know.

no way farah, ponting is a brill player an captain so wot he lost a couple of series but if aussies get rid of him it will be a big mistake.

Umm..c no doubt Ponting is a gr8 player..and he ws my second crush fr the Cricket(lolz😳)..bt nw tht I have seen more of him and his captaincy..I seriousli think he needz to get a reality check..!!

Actualli I am a big tym fan of him myself bt whtever he is doing recently is not going wel wid me.. Fist the Sydney fiasco..den this SA test match whr ermm dis kallis ws clearli not out and den the spinner most probabli Siddle claimed tht he took the wicket and he hd actualli dropped it..bt no Ponting had to intefere and den he pointed out his finger and so the umpire gave the batsman out..SA cud have drawn so easily but because of tht decision SA lost tht match..he had done the same thing for the Sydney test

I mean he shud have learnt sumthng from tht Sydney fiasco but he did the same blunder again..I mean he is an excellent captain...one of the bets must say..bt he hs to learn to play fair and square..!!!And his bold statements abt Gavaskar and all also showed gr8 disrespect so I think he shud realli need to play fair ..and I dont even mind him losing 10 matches in a row unless and until he is playing and captaining the side fairly..bt plzz hopefulli Ponting doesnt make dese mistakes once again oderwise I think he shud be sacked out of the side fr once to make him realize wht mistakes hs he committed..
