An idea came up, I was developing the plot and it seemed to me like Mills and Boon. I loathe Mills and Boon; I simply hate it, being a die-hard, true blue Shakespearean fan I harbor a lifelong grudge over Mills and Boon, but I wanted to challenge myself whether I can write something on those lines or not.
I surprised myself by writing it but I don't know whether it is good or not!!!
It does have considerable amount of adult stuff a la Mills and Boon, so enjoy that too!!! (-:(-:(-:(-:(-:(-:

XX The Indiscretion!!!
PART 1
She sat there gracefully, holding a dying moth in her hands? It trembled as it kissed her fingers with its long circular tongue? The sky was moonless within the music of the midnight; the tree branches embraced the starry sky?drawing her trembling legs to her chest, she hugged them, resting her head on the top of them, she let those salty tears flow down without any obstruction?she sat there still?
In the morning, the lifeless shell of the moth lay heavy on the patio table. Bani squinted her eyes open to the hitting sunrays?her eyes fell on the corpse of the brown moth?she had hoped that miraculously it would be given a new birth; another chance to seek out the mysterious balls of light it continually ached for? But instead, the inevitable happened? It laid heavy on the table with the weight of the world and the sadness of the universe... just like her?her mind raced back a few months ago?and the indiscretion that followed the fateful night? ?

It wasn't a dark and stormy night but quite the opposite actually. The eerily silent night was suffused with silvery moonlight, with the crescent moon beaming hazily from behind the curtain of grey clouds?the nocturnal insects were cooing hiding amongst the grassy bushes?
Bani was busy cleaning up the room, it was her night shift today, it was a huge room, a personal suite of a certain Mr. Jai Walia?the supposed businessman tycoon who had taken over the hotel in Mt. Abu just yesterday where she worked in the house-keeping department, he was kind enough not to sack the previous workers, she removed the crumpled bed covers and threw them in the bin to be sent to the laundry, taking out a fresh set of white satin sheets, she made the bed?
It had been almost 4 long years that her parents had died in an accident, that was major blow in her life, they were a small, middle-class yet happy family, her father, her mother, she and her sister rano?but as if their happiness had been cursed, everything fell apart in a moment's time?her parents had left leaving behind her and rano, helpless and orphaned?rano being relatively young could somehow cope up with it, she had always been dependent on bani for everything, but for bani it had been a ordeal to contain the pain and loneliness, but she had somehow accepted the reality and tried to move on, she studied hard, also managing a part time job?and taking tuitions, with great difficulty she had finished her hotel management and landed a job in a popular hotel in Mt. Abu, the salary was descent but she did overtime to earn more to support rano's education which was her prime responsibility, but a major life-endangering problem had come up?and she had no one to turn to?no where to go?

"Tarun, no buddy, enough now?" jai said shaking his head, trying to ward off the seeping drowsiness?he was almost drunken?
"Arre, yaar, tunn hotel take over kiya, celebration toh hona chahiye?" tarun said ordering for another glass of the sedating alcohol?Tarun and jai were best of friends, Tarun Sablok was a lawyer by profession, he had a private law firm of his own but handled the legal affairs of the Walia Groups of Industries. They had flown down from Mumbai a couple of days earlier to finalize the overtaking of the hotel and to sign the legal documents?tomorrow morning they would fly back to Mumbai?
"Bas, last tarun?bohot hogaya?" jai said constantly closing and opening his eyes trying to maintain his focus on the surroundings?they were sitting in the pub of the hotel?
"Haan, yeh le?" tarun handed him the glass?taking it jai gulped down its contents?
"Main jaa rahaan hoon, Good night?" with great difficulty he got up?jai tried to balance his steps, wobbling and crouching he reached the elevator?getting inside he punched the button and stood leaning against the wall of the elevator?
A tall man stood in the shadows of the dark neon lights watching his every move from a far off distance; he smirked gulping down his lemon juice?

Bani blinked a tear drop and continued with her work, tidying the room properly?her body stiffened when she heard the metallic sound of the twisting door knob?she continued with her work?
Jai entered his suite, topsy-turvy, his hazy sight fell on a slim figure standing at a distance, he approached the figure?the strong pungent smell of the alcohol irked her nostrils?he slightly tapped on her shoulder?she turned around facing his handsome face?for a moment she kept staring at him, lost in a trance, he had the most hypnotic eyes she had ever laid her eyes on?
"House-keeping sir?" she said meekly?he nodded his head foolishly?he blinked his eyes to get a better view of her; he steeped forward, closing the small distance between their bodies?he stumbled inebriated, she held him by his shoulders, he looked straight into her eyes?he inched closer to her?she closed her eyes?they fell on the bed? with a loud thud, jai's taut muscular body caged her soft feline shape?

The morning sun rays hit his face making him squint his eyes?he lazily threw his lanky legs apart?trying to cover his face with the blanket, finding something he pulled it over to his face, he inhaled a peculiar flowery smell?he groggily opened his eyes to find a navy blue blazer over his face, he hurriedly threw it away, wondering whose it was? his head felt heavy, he mentally cursed Tarun for getting him drunk so much, running his calloused fingers through his damp hair, he sat upright on the bed? he felt cold suddenly, he looked down to realize his shirt was open, a few of the buttons were broken, a sniffing sound reached his ears, he strained them to listen to a continuous sob as if somebody was crying, thoroughly confused he looked around the room, and to his horror found a woman, no a young girl sitting on the floor in a corner, her face buried in her palms, most probably crying?a thousand questions ran through his mind?a sudden fear gripped his heart?just then his blackberry ringed?it was tarun?
"Jai, jaldi kar, flight pakadni hain?" it was tarun yelling?
"Tarun?tu jaa?main aata hoon?" jai said not knowing what to do?
"Kya hua?"
"Ek important kaam yaad agaya hain, tu jaa, main agli flight se aata hoon?"
"Theek hain?main rukta par I have an important meeting?"
"It's okay bye!!!" he quickly?disconnected the phone, he checked the time, it was 10'o clock?he got down and walked towards bani?

Jai looked pale as bani finished narrating last night's incident, he had practically forced himself on her, he was drunk but even in his drunken state he would not have done something so disgusting whatsoever, he tried to rack his brain, he remembered the time he was with tarun, then he came to his room, he saw a figure, housekeeping he remembered but after that everything was blank, he couldn't even recall a faint thing which occurred? ?
He looked ahead, to see bani buttoning her slightly torn blazer, wailing uncontrollably?the room looked a mess, the bed was a disaster, crumpled, his coat and tie were strew away, shoes lying somewhere and the way the girl was reacting, jai feared the worst?he went blank thinking what to do in such a sticky situation, suddenly his blackberry buzzed again?he picked it up?
"Munna?" a loud excited voice boomed form the other side?
"Haan massi?" he said with dismay, the last thing he needed was his massi's unlimited chatter about a new girl she had seen who would be perfect for him?
"Munna, main Mumbai aa rahin hoon?" massi said?
"Kab?"
"kal tak pahunch jaaoongi?"
"Theek hain?"
"Aur sun, maine Mrs. Malhotra ki beti se mili, Sonali, bohot pyaari hain, padhi likhi hain, fashion designer hain, tere liye bilkul sahi rahegi?"
"Massi please abhi nahin?"
"Dekh munna, tu hamesha aise hi taal deta hain? iss baar agar tune shaadi nahin ki na, toh?toh tujhe meri kasam?"
"Theek hain massi, aap aayie baat karte hain?"
"Acha chal meri train ka time ho raha hain?"
"Jee?" he switched off his phone and threw away?
Jai cleared his throat, indicating he wanted to speak something?bani wiped her tears, an unknown fear gripping her?
"Tum?" he started?
"Bani?" she said as lowly as possible?jai looked at her for a second, it was difficult to believe her, but he wanted to give her the benefit of doubt?
"Marry me?" he said, it was more of an order than a request?bani stared at him, not believing her ears?
"That doesn't lessen your indiscretion Mr.Walia?" she said firmly?she didn't want him to assume that she was desperate?
"My massi is coming down, and I don't want to go on a girl-watching spree with her, and so I am proposing, and moreover, I am yet to believe you, I am just giving you a benefit of doubt?"
"So, will it be an actual marriage or just a facade?"
"Of course it will be an actual marriage; we will be leaving for the court in some time?if you agree that is?"
"I don't mean that Mr. Walia, I mean will it be like any other marriage?"
"Oh!!! You don't expect me to be a love-struck husband, do you?"
"I believe marriage is for a lifetime Mr. Walia?"
"I am sorry bani, but this is just a matter of convenience?it's a deal"
"Deal?"
"Yes, you will be my wife, just for namesake, till massi is with me, once she leaves we will get divorced?"
"Do you think that is so simple?"
"Of course it is?and I will pay you handsomely, after all according to you I have taken away your virginity?" his voice was cold, bani's cheeks colored a bit?
"If I do a case over you?"
"On rape grounds?" bani felt embarrassed and looked away?
"Yes?"
"If you don't know me Bani, I am Jai Walia, and I can do anything to protect my honor, I may just twist the case telling you seduced me for money?"
"I didn't?" bani flared?
"Of course you didn't, but who knows, and always remember, I still don't believe you, I am just giving you a benefit of doubt?" bani looked appalled, this was not the way she wanted things to be, but anyways her job was being done and Jai Walia himself was offering her an opportunity?and she would grab it by open arms?
"But?"
"No ifs and buts bani, yes or no?quick dear, I have no time?"
"Yes?"
"Good, get ready and meet me here in an hour, we are going to the court?"
Bani nodded her head dumbly and left?jai sighed and went inside the bathroom, his shirt had pink stains, he shook his head irritated?and ripped the shirt apart?he wondered what made him do all that, and why was he marrying her, her soft fragile face flashed in front of him?he ignored it and turned the shower on?

Bani nervously sat in the seat, tightly clutching the sides, till a moment ago she was Bani Dixit and now she was Mrs. Bani Jai Walia, and she was flowing to Mumbai with her husband who was busy reading a magazine, a turbulence occurred, twirling the plane a bit?bani gripped jai's hand tightly?jai looked at her face?
"Ram?ram, ram, ram?" bani mumbled incoherently, her eyes firmly shut?jai couldn't tear his eyes from her?her voice became louder as the plane was about to land?she buried her face in his chest, he felt a surreal feeling inside him, it felt so new, so nice and wonderful, he felt as if he was touching her for the first time?even though he had supposedly slept with her?he attributed that to his drunk state?the same floral scent filled his nostrils again?he sighed deeply, it would be difficult to keep himself away from her?her fragility and softness had a tremendous s*x-appeal which she surely was unaware of?which further heightened the desire for more?

"I am sorry?" bani muttered feeling quite embarrassed at her antics in the plane?
"It's okay?" jai replied?jai speeded ahead pushing the trolley?bani's cell phone rang, it was a familiar number, looking at a much distant jai she picked it up?
"Hello..." she said in a low voice?
"Haan?" she replied?
"Theek hain, main rakhti hoon?" she quickly switched it off?and had to almost run to catch up with jai?
The ride to the Walia Mansion was silent except a few basic questions jai asked her about her family, her work, her education etc?the posh car stopped before a huge palace like mansion, bani stood dead in her tracks closely watching it, she had not seen anything like this ever before?she found herself being dragged in by him?jai looked around the quiet house, seems nobody was at home except Tony who was looking at him with curious eyes, he thanked his lucky stars and climbed the stairs?
