After Ranvir's awesome speech in the Haldi epi, I don't think there is any real need for debate about who is better looking or not....Does that even matter?

I think that Ranvir is good looking. Parul is a beauty and is stunning. Right now they are downplaying her looks. I think after the marriage, they will glamorise her looks and wardrobe.

The main idea is to bring to the forefront the popular opinion in India that "beautiful" means fair skin. I think that is all that the creatives are trying to show. At the same time they are also trying to break that myth by showing that a so-called traditionally handsome boy can fall for a dark skinned girl and find her beautiful. The serial is trying to break many blind superstitions that exist in the Indian society. ANd don't forget, there are many illiterate people in India. This serial is a way of broadening their thoughts.
