From judges abruptly leaving the episode to constant fights amongst contestants – Nach Baliye 4 has seen it all. To add to the list, the latest reports say that the show will draw to a close two weeks in advance.

A source from the sets of the show said, "The channel and the production house have decided to drop the wild card entry this year. They want to wind up the show as soon as possible. It could be because of low TRPs. The grand finale, which was slated for February 15, will now be held on February 1. The precursor to the finale, a Maha Muqabala, will be telecast on January 23. From the four couples, only two will be selected for the grand finale."

A jodi from the show said, "The initial contract clearly stated that there would be a wild card entry, two to three surprise entries and some more twists. But now our Nach Baliye 4 journey will end sooner than scheduled."
However, Anupama Mandloi, head of content of the channel, had a different take on this issue. She said, "We had planned for the show to end in January but the strike by the cine employees threw everything out of gear and the judges' dates were not available beyond January."

However she did not explain why the show, which was supposed to run for 15 weeks, will now wind up in 13 weeks. The five couples currently participating in the show are Yash - Gauri Tonk, Kapil Nirmal - Anjali Abrol, Shaleen Bhanot - Daljeet Kaur, Sudeep - Avantika Sahir and Naman Shroff - Megha Gupta.
