Shubs it is not even business because they dont seem to be doing much business either.I think people are fed up of long running serials. Any show going beyond 1 to 1 1/2 years is not going to hold viewer attention because they have a wide variety and fresher stories to choose from. Gone are the days when loyalty to a soap ruled. Now people want something fresh, believable and enjoyable. Time the show makers realise that instead of resorting to weirder and weirder story line to revive something they themselves killed. I would rather see Shabbo and Panchi together in another show with a new concept and a fresh story.Munee's Kaise Kahun is a wonderful theme they can develop on and Shabbo will rock as a taxi driver.
Guess you are right. Ekta is losing her contracts with Star TV. I strongly believe one needs to be passionate about what they do- then only the final product turns out beautiful. I am sure these K people aren't with the monotonous stories they come up with.
I think Munee would only be happy to offer her story to them if it's going to be picturized on Shabbir- though I doubt the creatives' abilities to do justice to it.
